#### **Newrest is seeking a PROCUREMENT TECHNICIAN/CATEGORY MANAGER for its catering operations in Madrid (San Fernando de Henares)** **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Conduct negotiations with suppliers. * Carry out an analysis of existing suppliers, market benchmarking, and proposals for improvement. * Comply with the Company’s Procurement Policy, optimizing cost/quality/service/timeliness parameters. * Monitor supplier performance in accordance with objectives defined by Management. * Track and control key performance indicators related to cost, quality, and service targets. * Continuously monitor product quality and delivery timelines with suppliers, and implement necessary actions to ensure compliance. * Provide support to operational sites, handle requests, track incidents, and manage non-conformities. * Analyze procurement processes and propose optimization measures. * Work as part of a team. * Manage various food categories; occasionally also handle contracts related to general expenses. **REQUIREMENTS:** * Degree in Engineering, Business Administration and Management (ADE), Economics, medium- or higher-level vocational training, or equivalent qualifications. * Minimum five years’ experience as a procurement technician in food or materials. * Intermediate-to-advanced level of spoken and written English. * Advanced proficiency in Excel. * Knowledge of the supplier sector. * Negotiation skills. **ABOUT NEWREST:** Humility, simplicity, efficiency, and a strong sense of responsibility are Newrest’s core values.
