Description

Summary: Quest Global is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to implement design requirements, optimize solutions, and participate in design reviews to ensure quality and address problems effectively. Highlights: 1. Implement and optimize mechanical design solutions. 2. Participate actively in technical design reviews. 3. Solve problems and contribute to a better future. **Job Requirements** At Quest Global, it’s not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster. **Key Responsibilities** The main responsibilities of a Mechanical Design Engineer are: Requirements: Perform ME Requirements implementation (Lear and customer) in the design before each design freeze milestone. Support to ME on ME Requirements specification and analysis. Identify and report to appropriate MTL and ME possible risks. Implementation and Design: Implement design approach according ME Requirements, Standards and Guidelines. Implement cost optimized design solutions. Keep close contact to key suppliers from the involved project and Solution Architect to consider up to date topologies within mechanical design. Participate actively in Technical Design Reviews (internal, key suppliers and customer) to improve design quality. Support to System DFMEA (Review and execute tasks) and participate actively in cross functional team meetings. Analyze mechanical Designs with calculation tools (sensitivity analysis, Montecarlo analysis, ...) Provide input for FEA (Finite Element Analysis), GA (Gap Analysis), Clearance \& Creepage Analysis (C\&CA) and review the results. Provide input to thermal analysis. Provide input to Mechanical technical tasks (Analysis/Investigation, Root cause analysis) and support. Ensure Mechanical deliverables are in place for the release according to the time plan (CAD Models, Drawings, …) Provide input to documentation, during Development phase, to engineering teams (EPL, Systems, HW): i.e. Connectors, DXF... Provide input documentation to manufacturing: Mechanical specification with respect to project planning and ensure permanent updates. Capture design problems from different design analysis sources (calculations, simulations, test results, etc.). Analyse PPAP documentation and approve PH from custom mechanical components. Design support on Feasibility Analysis to assess a changes request (CR, CTO, SCRs, …). Design support on generate ideas and contribute to achieve CTO/ Design\-To\-Cost targets. Analyze measurement results and document countermeasures to be implemented. Participate in workshop with key suppliers to track the technology and cost opportunities. Implement ideas captured from benchmarking. Contribute to add/improve CAD database/library using standard methods. Responsible to follow the task management process according the planning. Key contributor to capture Mechanical knowledge for potential updates on Design Guidelines. Gate Review and Release: Design support on Change Management (Issues, CR, CN, SCR, PCR) Mechanical verification: Perform Mechanical Requirements verification and support LAB on DV/PV test. Support on inital sample review. We are known for our extraordinary people who make the impossible possible every day. Questians are driven by hunger, humility, and aspiration. We believe that our company culture is the key to our ability to make a true difference in every industry we reach. Our teams regularly invest time and dedicated effort into internal culture work, ensuring that all voices are heard. We wholeheartedly believe in the diversity of thought that comes with fostering a culture rooted in respect, where everyone belongs, is valued, and feels inspired to share their ideas. We know embracing our unique differences makes us better, and that solving the worlds hardest engineering problems requires diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds. We shine the brightest when we tap into the many dimensions that thrive across over 21,000 difference\-makers in our workplace. **Work Experience** The main technical skills needed by a Mechanical Design Engineer are: Knowledge of the Mechanical Design procedures \& techniques established in the organization and project. Knowledge of Mechanical design tools (i.e. CATIA, NX) \& methods established in the organization and project. Knowledge of the Requirements management system \& strategy established in the project. Knowledge of the requirements management tools used in the organization (i.e. DOORS). Knowledge of the change management tools used in the organization (i.e. ALM, SEM). Knowledge of the configuration management tools used in the organization (i.e. SVN). Knowledge of the problem resolution tools used in the organization (i.e. ALM). Materials Science: Understanding the properties and applications of different materials used in mechanical engineering. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD): Knowledge in order to review analysis from Simulations \& implementing the proper solution. Finite Element Analysis (FEA): Knowledge in order to review analysis from Simulations \& implementing the proper solution. Prototyping and Testing: Skills prototype manufacturing procedures conducting tests to verify designs. The main soft skills needed by a Mechanical Design Engineer are: Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze situations logically and make informed decisions. Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing circumstances and new challenges. Problem solving: Aptitude for identifying Mechanical issues and developing effective solutions. Teamwork and Collaboration capacity with different project stakeholders documentation. Time Management: Skills in prioritizing Project Mechanical tasks and managing time efficiently to meet deadlines.
