What projects do we develop? The Sustainability Department is responsible for coordinating the definition, updating, and monitoring of the sustainability strategy. Within the Sustainability Department, the Climate Risk Department leads and coordinates initiatives that enable better integration and management of climate and environmental risks within the organization. The department's projects include: * Assessment of ESG Risks Materiality + Analysis of climate and environmental risks and their interrelation with risks from the corporate risk catalog + Coordination of work with risk owners * Sectoral heat maps on Climate and Nature Risks + Detailed analysis of the impacts of climate and nature risks at sector level based on internally developed methodology * Supervisory/regulatory activities + Liaison with supervisors/regulators + Monitoring and reporting on the status of supervisory recommendations related to climate and environmental risks + Coordination with risk, planning, and business areas, among others + Coordination of the Prudential Transition Plan (design, updating, implementation, monitoring of action plans) + Monitoring of regulatory developments related to ESG risks * Green Bonds + Monitoring and control of eligible portfolio + Preparation and review of information required for Green Bond impact calculation + Generation of the Green Bond Impact Report. * External disclosure of information + Preparation of information and/or participation in investor meetings on climate and environmental risk topics + Preparation of climate and environmental risk information for external reports (EINF, Climate Report, IRP) * Calculation of financed carbon footprint + Updating and reviewing data for periodic calculations + Evaluation and preparation of results and presentations for internal and external reporting + Monitoring market best practices and methodological developments for financed emissions calculation * Operational management of NZBA decarbonization targets + Analysis of clients and transactions for inclusion in target scope + Updating information for decarbonization metrics calculation + Analysis of sector trends to assess transition + Preparation of information and presentations for internal and external reporting + Monitoring market best practices in decarbonization + Coordination of work with business and risk areas * Taxonomy + In-depth analysis of related regulations + Peer benchmarking + Monitoring market best practices and participation in industry forums for knowledge sharing + Updating information for portfolio alignment calculation + Coordination with other areas such as Regulatory Reporting, Risk, and Business Work location: Madrid/Barcelona Minimum requirements * Higher education degree * Very high level of spoken and written English for participation in international working groups and/or meetings with stakeholders (ability to independently manage meetings and/or written communications) * Advanced Office skills (especially PowerPoint and Excel) * Specific knowledge of climate and environmental risks * Knowledge of CaixaBank’s financial business and its portfolio of products and services will be valued Key competencies * Proactive and flexible attitude * Teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills * Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines * Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple projects simultaneously * Adaptability to changing and highly demanding environments What do we offer? * Be part of the most innovative bank in Western Europe, according to the Innovators awards by the American magazine Global Finance. * Onboarding program and personalized support for your professional development. * Individual training pathway with access to our online platform, which offers an extensive catalog of self-learning resources to promote your continuous growth. * You will have a comprehensive health insurance fully covered at no cost.
