Job Summary: Specialized legal advisor in capital markets, focused on derivatives, repos, securitizations, and financial contracts, participating in the design and negotiation of contractual documentation. This position is integrated within the Derivatives and Securitization Legal Advisory Department, reporting to the Capital Markets Legal Advisory Department (17313\). Location: Barcelona/Madrid — either is acceptable RESPONSIBILITIES Specialized legal advisory services in capital markets. MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Providing legal advice—whether related to new transactions, novations, restructurings, cancellations, or terminations—primarily concerning the following areas: * OTC derivatives. * Repos. * Securities lending. * Atypical financial contracts. * Master agreements (GMRA, GMSLA, EMA, CMOF, ISDA). * Real, personal, and fiduciary guarantees applicable to the above operations. * Securitizations (traditional or synthetic). Regarding the matters, operations, and transactions referred to in the preceding section 1: reviewing, drafting, participating in the design and structuring, negotiating, and adapting all types of contractual documentation, with particular emphasis on using standard documentation specific to these operations. Participation in regulatory implementation projects related to the above operations and transactions. Participation in international business development projects: (i) liaising with international law firms; (ii) analyzing and supplementing appropriate legal opinions; (iii) updating legal opinions regarding foreign jurisdictions; and (iv) handling the adaptation of contractual documentation to foreign legal environments. Minimum Requirements REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Law. * A dual degree in Business Administration/Economics and/or postgraduate studies in legal-finance fields will be valued. SPECIFIC SKILLS * Business acumen and understanding of negotiated financial products will be valued. A global, cross-functional perspective assessing legal, reputational, and regulatory risks. * Negotiation and analytical skills. * Commitment, proactivity, conciliatory attitude, organization, responsibility, and ability to work effectively in teams are valued. SPECIFIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE * Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing legal advisory services for financial transactions, derivatives, and securitizations. * Knowledge and experience in applying generative artificial intelligence tools to the legal domain. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE * Minimum of 4\-5 years’ experience at a banking institution, investment fund management companies, top-tier law firms with a capital markets department, or legal departments of large corporations.
