Perform periodic maintenance and repair of instrumentation and automation locations Neves\-Corvo time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday time left to apply End Date: March 31, 2026 (10 days left to apply) job requisition id JOB\_014776 Mission: The Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing instrumentation and automation faults, as well as collaborating in the development of projects and executing the implementation and programming of instrumentation, thereby contributing to equipment availability and process and equipment optimization. Main Responsibilities: * Ensure periodic maintenance and repair of instrumentation, automation, and electrical systems across all mine equipment and machinery, replacing components as required. * Program and optimize industrial control programs in programmable logic controllers (PLCs). * Repair and program mine data networks, radio communication networks, audio and video systems. * Prepare equipment and machinery fault reports. * Execute all phases of instrument installation in mine production units (assembly and commissioning). * Optimize commands for fixed and remote equipment. * Monitor and repair the high-voltage substation control system in case of failure. * Perform calibrations and tests on specific equipment, such as: static and dynamic weighing scales; temperature, pressure, and flow transmitters; pneumatic automatic valves; vibration detection systems; diagnose and repair faults in Detroit Diesel motor controllers (EMC's) installed on mobile equipment. * Interpret electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics to implement optimization and productivity improvements in equipment operations. * Operate high-voltage switchgear in substations adjacent to the extraction shaft and in main mine ventilation fan substations, when required. * Ensure compliance with the "General Safety, Health, Environment, and Community Standards" within Department-related areas and facilities, in order to comply with applicable legislation, ensure proper working conditions, and minimize environmental and community impacts associated with Somincor's activities. * Complete work sheets, reports, and record tables. Requirements: * Secondary education (12th grade). * Vocational training in Mechatronics (electricity, instrumentation, and automation). * Availability to work rotating shifts and continuous operation. * Valid driver's license. \- Important!
