Senior Accountant – Professional Firm (end client) **Location:** Barcelona Through our recruitment firm, we are supporting an advisory firm with offices in Madrid and Barcelona in hiring a Senior Accountant for their Barcelona team. This is a stable position with direct impact on the client portfolio and clear opportunities for career growth within the firm. About our client Our client is an established firm specializing in accounting and tax advisory services for companies and professionals. They work with a highly loyal client base that values close personal service, technical reliability, and prompt responsiveness. They are looking for someone who will not only manage accounting tasks but also act as a trusted advisor to clients, demonstrating independent judgment and the ability to anticipate client needs. Your mission You will be responsible for the comprehensive accounting and tax management of a client portfolio, ensuring everything is under control—from daily accounting operations to annual closing, including tax obligations and occasional advisory support. Your day-to-day responsibilities You will manage the complete accounting cycle for your portfolio (recording transactions, reconciliations, amortizations, provisions, etc.). You will prepare and review quarterly and annual financial closings, ensuring financial information is reliable, consistent, and ready for decision-making. You will prepare and file annual financial statements with the relevant authorities. You will handle tax management and filings (primarily VAT, IRPF, and related taxes), always meeting deadlines and complying with current regulations. You will provide accounting and tax advisory services to assigned clients, resolving queries and proposing clear, practical solutions. You will maintain smooth, trust-based relationships with your client portfolio, becoming their primary point of contact.
