This role combines technical leadership, engagement with multiple stakeholders (hardware, firmware, cloud, external vendors), and the ability to transform the current ecosystem by proposing improvements in architecture, security, and methodology. This person will be a key figure bridging the hardware–firmware–connectivity–cloud domains, acting as a technical reference and facilitator across teams. **Responsibilities:** * Technically lead IoT projects with an end-to-end focus, from device to cloud platform. * Serve as the technical liaison with: * Hardware and firmware engineers * Cloud and platform teams * External vendors and technology partners * Understand and discuss technical aspects of: * IoT hardware (modules, chipsets, connectivity) * Firmware * Communication protocols * Work with SSH, AT commands, device debugging and troubleshooting. * Define and validate both on-premise and cloud-based IoT architectures. * Actively participate in IoT security decisions (device identity, certificates, communications, hardening). * Collaborate on defining and improving agile methodologies applied to IoT environments. * Provide critical and analytical insight to evaluate technical trade-offs, costs, scalability, and sustainability. * Drive product and platform evolution, with ambition to transform the current ecosystem. **Technical Requirements** * Solid experience in Telco and IoT environments. * In-depth knowledge of: * IoT devices, firmware, and hardware * Connectivity (LTE-M, NB-IoT, etc. – desirable) Practical experience with: * SSH * AT commands * Device debugging * Experience with IoT cloud platforms, especially: * AWS IoT Core (or equivalent cloud platforms) * Programming background: * Java or Python * Use of AWS Lambda * Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, ideally: * Terraform * Ability to analyze and compare on-premise vs. cloud architectures. * Experience working with external vendors and platform services.
