Description

Job Summary: Responsible for developing and improving CAD/CAM programs, optimizing manufacturing costs and ensuring quality in a high-demand environment. Key Highlights: 1. Multidisciplinary team work with cutting-edge technology. 2. Real impact on customer satisfaction and project success. 3. Professional growth and skill development. You will be responsible for keeping customer-provided information well-organized, as well as complying with index and revision controls. Your mission will be to develop and improve programs, ensuring the lowest possible manufacturing cost of the component throughout its entire lifecycle within the company (development, industrialization, series production, and spare parts). You will prepare technical support documentation to facilitate reference changes and necessary adjustments for part manufacturing (ITs, tool lists, Change Sheets, etc.). You will minimize tooling costs by controlling consumption and conducting necessary tests for introducing new technologies and lower-cost solutions. You will regularly implement program improvements in series production, driven by workshop improvement initiatives, prioritizing those based on their profitability. You will promote appropriate classification of each component into its designated manufacturing group. Tasks 1. Development of CAD/CAM machining programs: Creation of programs minimizing manufacturing cost, balancing machining time with reference change time, setup time, machine load, tool life, and manual deburring and finishing operations. 2. Implementation of improvements in CAD/CAM programs arising from workshop improvement initiatives: Work closely with the Workshop Manager to understand improvement proposals and provide effective responses. 3. Development and enhancement of CAD/CAM programming standards: Establish systematic programming methods for groups of similar components and strictly adhere to them, performing relevant reviews and updates. 4. Minimization of total tooling cost across the company: Reduce the company’s tool catalog without compromising competitiveness, product quality, or customer satisfaction (surface finish of components). 5. Responsiveness and teamwork during the industrialization phase: Flexibility and ability to manage ambiguity during this phase, working openly and collaboratively with Production and Quality departments. Requirements Mechanical Technical Engineer degree, or alternatively, FPII Machining Technician or Higher Vocational Training in Machining. Mandatory: Work and residence permit in Spain. Professional Experience: * Minimum 10 years’ experience in CAD/CAM programming (CATIA, Mastercam, or hyperMILL) for machining centers in high-demand sectors such as aerospace, automotive, and defense. * Experience with various types of machines and controls (3-, 4-, and 5-axis). * Experience machining various metals: aluminum, stainless steel, copper, titanium, nickel-rich alloys, etc. Certifications and Specific Knowledge: * Certifications in Project Management and Industrialization. Technical Skills: * In-depth knowledge of machining processes and CNC machinery. * Prior experience as a machining operator. * Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications, and generate required support documentation. * Extensive knowledge of dimensional and geometric tolerances, as well as use of measuring equipment. * Proficiency in deburring and finishing processes. Competencies and Skills: * Strong communication and leadership abilities. * Ability to collaborate cross-departmentally (Quality, Production, Logistics). * Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills. * Commitment to quality and attention to detail. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Languages and IT Skills: * Spanish fluency is mandatory. * Familiarity with reporting activities and incidents in ERP, MES, GMAO, and similar systems (SAP, BAAN, SAGE, DYNAMICS, CAPTOR, etc.). * Proficient user-level computer skills (Office suite and FTP). This profile seeks a highly experienced professional with solid technical expertise, capable of ensuring the development of CAD/CAM programs meeting the precision and quality requirements for metallic parts demanded by our customers.
