DESCRIPTION **Job Description** * Mold preparation and installation: * The work involves injecting various plastic parts using injection molding machines of different tonnages; corresponding molds are installed for each part to be injected. * The Shift Supervisor/Injection Technician is responsible for mold preparation and mold change on the machine, using an overhead bridge crane mounted on ceiling rails. Once the mold is installed on the machine, necessary adjustments are carried out (clamps, hoses, lifting lugs, and other components), preparing everything for injection. * Startup of various peripheral equipment. * Preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, both electrical and mechanical. Operation of forklifts and bridge cranes; use of elevated work platforms. Work on injection molding machines. Low-voltage work. * Process validation: * Initial injection shots are performed to proceed with process validation; therefore, injected parts are inspected. * Preventive measures: * Use and maintenance of fall-arrest harnesses. Hazards and preventive measures for working at height. * Wear safety footwear and mechanical-protection gloves to prevent cuts. * Wear protective eyewear whenever performing mold change operations or working on molds. REQUIREMENTS Technical education: electricity, mechanics, maintenance, etc. Certified training: safe handling of loads with forklifts and bridge cranes. Elevated work platforms 3A and 3B. Knowledge of plastic injection and quality. Proven experience in the duties of this position. Disability certificate of 33% or higher is desirable
