JUNIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER FOR PRE-PROJECTS

The company TALLERS SERRA, S.L., a manufacturer of industrial machinery for the corrugated cardboard sector, located in Martorell with a team of 65 employees, is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer for Pre-Projects. This role requires a combination of solid technical skills and strong communication competencies to enable the candidate to design technical proposals for customers. The projects to be defined consist of existing machine sets adapted to customers in the corrugated cardboard sector. We offer the opportunity to work in a company experiencing robust growth both nationally and internationally, participating in diverse projects that support the candidate’s continued professional development. • Prepare project machinery layout drawings in AutoCAD or, starting from a customer quotation request received by the Commercial Department, the junior engineer will gather specifications through direct communication with the customer. • With support from the Mechanical Engineering Department, the junior engineer will prepare project layout drawings so that the Commercial Department can prepare quotations based on a technical proposal. • Support in preparing quotations • The junior engineer will provide technical support to the Commercial Department during quotation preparation, including machine specifications and renders as well as concepts developed in SolidWorks. • Customer visits • The junior engineer will occasionally conduct customer visits across Europe to inspect and measure the machinery installation area, supported by the Commercial Department. • Support for the Mechanical Engineering Department • Depending on workload from the above tasks, the junior engineer will carry out mechanical engineering tasks such as drafting instruction manuals or designing subassemblies. * Experience: 1 month. • No prior experience required, but sound technical understanding of machinery is essential. * Mechanical Engineer * English (spoken Advanced, written Advanced) * Catalan (spoken Advanced, written Advanced) * Spanish (spoken Advanced, written Advanced) * Competencies / Knowledge: Minimum requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, majoring in Mechanical Engineering or related field. • Advanced level of English, demonstrable through interview conversation (e.g., Advanced Certificate Exam or equivalent). • Willingness to travel occasionally both nationally and internationally, primarily to Europe and the USA. • Excellent communication skills. • After a learning period, ability to understand customer needs and propose appropriate technical solutions. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. • No prior experience required, but sound technical understanding of machinery is essential. Desired qualifications: • Mastery of AutoCAD and SolidWorks. • Experience in machinery engineering. • Familiarity with the corrugated cardboard sector. • Residence near Martorell. • Knowledge of French, German, Italian, or other languages will be considered an advantage. * Availability of personal vehicle * Permanent employment contract * Full-time position * Gross monthly salary: 2500 * Additional information: Additional benefits: • Autonomy after the training period. • Flexible working hours. • Collaboration with a high-caliber engineering team. • Career development plan offering two possible specializations: Machinery Design Engineer or Project Manager.
