**Function** ----------- **Limagrain Ibérica,** an established company belonging to the international Limagrain Group, leader in extensive crops focusing on research, production and marketing of seeds, needs for its workplace in Cordoba a person to fill the position of: **FIELD ASSISTANT R&D (M/F).** **Main Objective** ---------------------- Reporting to the Breeder and being part of the R&D Department, you will participate in all processes of the breeding program, field campaign, cereal harvest and preparation and execution of sowing. **Main Responsibilities** ------------------------- * Collecting field data requested by the breeder (phenology, diseases, etc.). * Purification and maintenance of varieties: cleaning, selection and removal of non-selected lines. * Monitoring of trial and breeding fields: fertilization, herbicide and fungicide treatments using tractor. * Harvest management and harvesting using Wintersteiger plot combine harvester. * Management of breeding and trial seed stocks: receiving harvested material at the facility and stock control. * Maintenance and updating of specific harvesters and seeders. * Performing wheat quality analysis and sample preparation. * Seed preparation for trial and breeding sowing: threshing (cereal threshers for bundles and ears), seed cleaning with processor, seed treatment with fungicides (mixer-treater) and preparation of sowing packets according to breeder instructions. * Field replanting and marking of sowing rows, and sowing using specific plot seeders. * Supervision of temporary staff. **Requirements** --------------- * Higher Vocational Training Degree in Agricultural Activities, Mechanics and/or Machinery. * Minimum 2 years of experience in agricultural work and with agricultural machinery. * Computer skills at user level. * Availability for travel. * Basic phytosanitary products course. * Operation of Agricultural Machinery (tractor/implements/combine harvester). * Forklift license and trailer towing license are desirable. * Basic English is desirable. **Benefits and Work Environment** --------------------------------- We offer an attractive working environment with social benefits for employees: Pension Plan, Medical Insurance, Meal Allowance, Company Vehicle, etc. Join our team and discover all the opportunities we have for you.
