Job Summary: We are seeking a Speech Therapist to assess and advise users and their families regarding communication and swallowing, working collaboratively within a team and coordinating with other professionals. We are looking for a Speech Therapist for our organization in Palma. **Personal Competencies** * Organizational skills and ability to work in a team. * Communication and social skills. * Organizational skills. * Ability to manage emotions and emotional barriers. * Empathy. * Kindness in interpersonal interactions. **Requirements** * Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Therapy. * Basic computer literacy. * Knowledge of neurorehabilitation. * Valid driver’s license (category B1) and personal vehicle. **Responsibilities** * Assess the user’s respiratory pattern and behavior, oral-phonic organs, voice, speech rhythm and fluency, language, and swallowing function. * Refer users to other healthcare professionals as needed for additional diagnostic information (e.g., Otolaryngologist). * Advise and train users, family members, or significant others in implementing strategies, maneuvers, and postural techniques to achieve safe and effective swallowing. * Advise and train users, family members, and significant others in using language and swallowing strategies and techniques, as well as alternative communication methods through programs designed to enhance their communication abilities. * Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, meetings within the therapist’s area of expertise, and any other meetings where the therapist’s presence is relevant. * Report to the service manager on all matters related to the therapist’s activities, maintaining open communication and carrying out assigned tasks. * Maintain coordination with internal professionals (team members) and external professionals (e.g., external coordination with a nutritionist, if applicable). * Conduct external teaching activities and provide training to various professionals who attend the center for professional development. * Support organizational initiatives aimed at promoting equal opportunities and rights for individuals with physical disabilities (e.g., dissemination of services and programs, awareness-raising campaigns, etc.). * Advise and guide the family or significant person regarding understanding and managing the user’s language and communication impairments to maximize the user’s functional capacity. **Conditions** * Contract type: Permanent. * Working hours: Full-time, 38.5 hours per week. * Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 08:00–16:00; Friday, 08:00–14:30. * Salary: €27,174 gross annually, paid in 12 installments.
