CNC Lathe Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking CNC lathe operators to program, machine, and inspect parts according to specifications while maintaining the work area. Key Highlights: 1. Experience in operating CNC lathes 2. Knowledge of Heidenhain and/or Fagor numerical controls 3. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation We are looking for individuals with experience operating CNC lathes for a position in Gijón (Asturias). Responsibilities include setting up and programming the machine, interpreting manufacturing drawings, adjusting parameters on the numerical control unit, machining parts according to technical specifications, inspecting quality, changing tools, correcting dimensions, and performing basic maintenance of the work area. A minimum of two years of experience as a CNC lathe operator is required, along with knowledge of Heidenhain and/or Fagor numerical controls, ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation, and experience in industrial machining. Teamwork skills are also valued. The position offers a six-month temporary contract with possible extension, full-time working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00–14:00 and 15:00–17:00\. Salary follows the Asturias Metalworkers’ Collective Agreement.
