FUNCTIONS/ACTIVITIES: In the scope of the construction contract: * Analyze and assess candidate shipyards * Define technical criteria for Requests for Quotation (RFQs) * Technically evaluate construction proposals * Review and technically validate construction specifications and documentation * Supervise drawing reviews and coordinate their approval * Monitor construction progress and coordinate communication with the shipyard * Supervise equipment testing and approve results * Attend and supervise sea trials and gas trials * Coordinate and supervise the vessel’s proper technical acceptance In the scope of approval, inspection, and construction supervision: * Assess inspection and supervision service providers * Analyze and technically evaluate inspection and supervision service proposals * Propose technical criteria for inspection and supervision contracts * Coordinate and supervise the on-site inspection team (remotely) * Review and issue technical progress reports In the scope of the charter party: * Analyze relevant technical information and provide support during charter party negotiations In the scope of vessel operations, collaboration, monitoring, and technical support: * Monitor vessel performance and operational KPIs * Analyze deviations and propose operational improvements * Prepare and monitor the technical budget (CAPEX and OPEX) * Coordinate with the operator to define maintenance plans * Ensure regulatory compliance, inspections, and certifications * Coordinate technical matters with the charterer (off-hire, inspections, consumption, limitations) What are we looking for? * University degree in Naval Engineering or Merchant Marine (preferably with specialization in Marine Engineering) * Knowledge of naval industry regulations, standards, and best practices * Over 10 years’ experience in shipbuilding companies or classification societies * Experience with tankers, preferably gas carriers * High level of spoken and written English (equivalent to C1) * Advanced computer skills (Office 365, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) Why join Enagás? * We are a Top Employer!
