




We are seeking a **Nursing Assistant Technician (TCAE) for the OPERATING ROOM with experience in STERILIZATION** at our Quirónsalud Córdoba Hospital, with the MISSION of "assisting and providing patient care in the surgical area, maintaining constant vigilance over patients' conditions in order to contribute to improving patient health and well-being according to departmental processes and policies, working collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other clinicians for patient follow-up and treatment." **Job Responsibilities** All tasks assigned by their direct supervisor or center management. For guidance purposes, the following are listed: **General Responsibilities:** * Ensure the best **patient experience**, offering humane, close, and personalized treatment. * Attend mandatory **training** courses on occupational risk prevention as required by current legislation, as well as medical examinations when compulsory for their position. * Contribute to **compliance** with obligations established by the competent authority to protect workers' safety and health. * Follow the management system procedures, record process outcomes, and propose improvements for process development. Adhere to organizational guidelines regarding service quality and environmental management. * **Identify the patient** (whenever the patient's condition allows) by asking for name, surnames, and date of birth, cross-checking this information with the identification bracelet if available, or directly with the patient and/or family. * Immediately **report** to their direct supervisor and designated prevention personnel, or where applicable, the Prevention Department, any situation that, in their judgment, reasonably poses a risk to worker safety and health. * Carry out required **administrative procedures** for managing documentation, facilitating the entire healthcare process. * Demonstrate precision and attention to detail in **stock control, warehouse organization, and expense allocation where applicable**. Collaborate in requesting supplies when necessary. * Do not disable and properly use existing **safety devices** or those installed on equipment related to their activities or in workplaces where these activities occur. * **Participate in training newly hired professionals and assigned students.** * Promote **effective interdepartmental working relationships** and function effectively as a team member to help achieve departmental goals and objectives. * Provide **indirect patient care and support services**, maintaining the healthcare environment in optimal conditions for patient well-being and proper activity execution. * Make appropriate entries in the patient's clinical record. * Respectfully maintain an **appropriate relationship with patients and families**, collaborating in promoting and maintaining a professional and respectful environment. Also provide **information and education** appropriately tailored to their needs. * Consistently and responsibly **monitor the patient's condition**, maintaining continuous alertness to patient changes and demands. * Be **proactive** in identifying and reporting suggestions, non-conformities, risks, etc., detected in the work area. Maintain the environment, equipment, and work materials in excellent condition so that healthcare processes can be properly carried out. Comply with applicable work procedures and instructions, including occupational safety and health regulations. Complete all necessary records in the course of their work. * **Use appropriately**, according to their nature and foreseeable risks, machines, equipment, tools, hazardous substances, transport vehicles, and generally any other means used in their activities. **Specific Job Responsibilities:** * Inform the unit supervisor of any incidents occurring during surgery * Record and review opening dates of disinfectant solutions * Perform and document periodic cleaning of rooms, storage areas, and corresponding operating rooms * Organize storage areas. * Assist at the beginning of surgery in setting up the surgical field according to supervisor instructions. * Ensure proper cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments required during surgery. * Guarantee the replenishment and preparation of the operating room together with the circulating nurse after surgery has concluded. * Ensure restocking of disposable materials in intermediate areas, both in the dirty and clean corridors of the surgical zone, as well as in the clean corridor laundry areas. * Perform biological tests and B&D tests on mini autoclaves located in intermediate areas following established procedures. * Ensure restocking and proper arrangement of surgical clothing from carts arriving from the laundry. * Provide emotional support to the patient. * Carry out the surgical Check-list following the established procedure. * Review and complete temperature monitoring records for refrigerators. * Conduct periodic checks of expiration dates for disposable materials and medications. * Carry out required administrative procedures for controlling patient admissions/entries and discharges/exits, along with relevant documentation, to facilitate the entire healthcare process. * Monitor the patient's condition, maintaining constant vigilance regarding patient changes. * Assist in patient care, reception, and transportation, always following medical and nursing instructions. * Verify correct preparation of surgical instruments according to the surgical procedure and specialty, and report any issues detected before, during, and after the intervention. * Early detection of signs and symptoms of complications and communication of adverse events. * Apply laboratory pathology specimen management procedures according to established protocols. * Early identification and prevention of functional, nutritional, and fall risks as established. * Correctly identify patient allergies. *This description outlines the main functions and responsibilities of the position as examples and is not exhaustive; therefore, these duties may be expanded to include any other tasks deemed appropriate and consistent with the professional group assigned under the applicable collective agreement.* **We Offer:** * Full-time contract due to productive circumstances arising from healthcare activities. * Rotating Shifts (Morning: 08:00–15:00 / Afternoon: 15:00–22:00 / Night: 22:00–08:00), scheduled according to the surgical agenda. * Professional development and acquisition of competencies across various surgical specialties. * Access to our health and wellness program, including initiatives such as: * Health Care: physical and mental wellness programs. * Financial Wellness: flexible compensation programs, access to the Payflow platform, and exclusive discounts. * Family Care: projects focused on promoting healthy living and work-life balance. * Volunteering Program. * Continuous Training: we will support your learning and development through our Corporate University and specific training plans, enabling personal and professional growth. * Attractive, competitive, and market-aligned salary package. We look forward to meeting you! * Education: Degree in Nursing Assistant Care * Previous experience as an OR and STERILIZATION TCAE of at least one year * Availability for shifts *(rotating continuous morning, afternoon, and night shifts)* **VALUABLE EXPERIENCE:** * Applying cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization techniques for surgical medical equipment according to protocols. * Handling and dosing products required for cleaning and disinfection following established procedures. * Receiving and distributing instruments from inpatient units and clinics according to protocol. * Transporting instrument carts used in scheduled surgeries. * Ensuring distribution of instruments to each assigned operating room for various scheduled surgeries by specialty.
