**Join our High-Performance IT Infrastructure and Architecture team!**
As part of our positioning as a leading company in the defense sector, we seek to hire a **Chief Engineer for IT projects**, who will serve as the key technical figure responsible for defining high- and low-level architecture in private cloud environments, leading complex infrastructure projects, and guaranteeing the highest standards of availability, performance, and security.
What will you do?
* Define high- and low-level architecture for **private cloud** environments, selecting the technology stack (Compute, Storage, Network).
* Establish the **roadmap for private infrastructure evolution**, proposing improvements and new technological integrations.
* Lead complex projects involving **migration, data center consolidation**, and deployment of new clusters.
* Design the transition from **legacy** environments to **HCI** (hyperconverged) or **SDDC** architectures.
* Define technical standards, **Disaster Recovery (DR)** policies, and **Business Continuity (BCP)** plans.
* Oversee implementation of **SAN/NAS/Object Storage** solutions and **SDN** networks (NSX\-T, ACI).
* Promote the **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** culture using Terraform, Ansible, or other technologies.
* Design **CI/CD** pipelines for configuration management and infrastructure deployments.
* Monitor infrastructure and applications, ensuring SLAs for **latency, availability (99\.99%\+), and security**.
* Ensure proper project management under **ITIL** frameworks and **Agile** methodologies.
What are we looking for in you?

✅ Proven experience in defining and technically leading complex IT architectures.
✅ Expertise in virtualization and private cloud platforms (VMware vSphere/VCF, OpenStack, RHV).
✅ Advanced experience with **Kubernetes**, OpenShift, or Tanzu (on-premise).
✅ Expert-level proficiency in Linux systems (RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE).
✅ In-depth knowledge of **SDS** (vSAN, Ceph, NetApp, MinIO) and **SDN** (NSX‑T, Cisco ACI).
✅ Experience in IaC and automation using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools.
✅ Networking expertise (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN).
✅ Experience managing projects within ITIL environments and Agile methodologies.
✅ Willingness to work **onsite in Alcobendas**.
