Team management in a maritime environment **Description:** ---------------- At Trasmed GLE, we are looking for a Chief Engineer residing in Spain with immediate availability. The Chief Engineer carries out daily operations to ensure the Engine Room’s operational efficiency and safety. Additionally, they must manage and allocate regular working hours and overtime for the engineering department. They lead and supervise the machinery department and all main and auxiliary propulsion equipment aboard the vessel, as well as perform other duties assigned under current regulations. They are responsible for the efficient operation of the Engine Room, the proper functioning of all mechanical equipment onboard, and compliance with applicable regulations. **Requirements:** --------------- In addition to the following qualifications and certificates, candidates must hold a valid medical certificate and seafarer’s book. General Requirements: * Minimum two years’ experience as a Second or Third Engineer Officer. * Proficiency or advanced knowledge of the vessel’s operational language. * Team management capability. * Adaptability and flexibility. * Organizational and planning skills. * Advanced specific medical training. Specific Requirements (Mandatory): * Basic Safety Training Certificate. * Passenger Ship Certificate. * Basic Maritime Security Training Certificate. * + Valid medical fitness certificate. * Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (other than fast rescue boats) Certificate. * Advanced Fire Fighting Certificate. * Fast Rescue Boats Certificate (as required by the vessel’s organizational chart). * High Voltage Certificate (as required by the vessel). * Professional qualification as Chief Engineer.
