Carrefour is seeking, for its European Buying Center reporting to the Group Merchandise Directorate (DMG), based in Madrid, a:#### **Commercial Manager Grocery (M/F) \- EURECA in Madrid, Spain** #### #### **Context** The creation of the European buying group Eureca Mayoristas, mandated by the Carrefour Group, responds to evolving European market conditions and major transformations in procurement models adopted by most European retailers. Eureca Mayoristas is responsible for: * Formalizing European agreements for the top 50 PGC suppliers for Carrefour France, Carrefour Spain, and Carrefour Belgium. * Managing product listing, order processing, invoicing, and settlements for all these suppliers. The European Buying Center Eureca Mayoristas was established at the beginning of 2022 and continues growing by integrating new suppliers each year. **General responsibilities:** Within Carrefour’s European Buying Center, the Commercial Manager PGC (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) Europe, reporting to the Commercial Director, is responsible for the operational implementation of negotiations with international brands across a supplier scope defined by the Carrefour Group and Concordis. He/She also leads a team of coordinators within his/her area of responsibility. **Daily responsibilities:** * Consolidate Eureca Trading’s negotiation outcomes against suppliers’ pricing proposals, then develop a product-line-specific proposal and defend it before suppliers. * Optimize overall financial terms, in compliance with Group commercial policies. * Ensure timely signing of legal frameworks with suppliers within his/her portfolio. * Guarantee accuracy and completeness of supplier and product listings within his/her scope. * Coordinate, within his/her team, timely product promotion execution (innovations, in/out, substitutions) requested by Carrefour countries and negotiated by Eureca Trading with suppliers. * Ensure quality and accuracy of prices transmitted to the commercial administration. * Actively participate in commercial alignment meetings with suppliers. * Comply with applicable regulations governing commercial relationships and practices. * Manage, coach, and motivate negotiation coordinators reporting to him/her. * Collaborate closely with national PGC buying teams and the European Buying Center’s administrative and commercial teams. The candidate will serve as one of the key operational contacts for international and national supplier teams in day-to-day interactions. **Areas of responsibility / main activities:** Responsible for operational rollout of annual negotiations for his/her scope and suppliers: * Validate WAPI for key suppliers and supervise overall WAPI. * Validate 3N N\-1 bases with suppliers (including BTH and other relevant elements if needed). * Validate business plan countermeasures and formalize them for execution. * Validate all financial terms (payment schedules, payment conditions, etc.). * Validate legal frameworks with suppliers prior to signing. * Primary point of contact for routine operational topics within his/her scope and that of his/her team: * Ensure regular commercial alignment with suppliers. * Prepare base confirmations aligned with Carrefour strategy. * Produce various reports on key topics (pricing, disputes, etc.). * Master internal tools (e.g., Eureca Connect) to ensure data reliability. * Key contributor to smooth coordination with countries: * Conduct frequent progress reviews to ensure seamless information flow. * Ensure strong cohesion with local teams. * Align operational procedures and best practices. * Year-round assortment monitoring and reliability of information transmitted to the commercial administration: * Manage listings (innovations, promotional in/out, substitutions) throughout the year. * Analyze assortment evolution. * Collaborate closely with AdCo teams to verify continuous updates of pricing and product listings. * Management of a commercial coordinator (as well as temporary staff/interns during peak activity periods): * Ensure the coordinator complies with company policies and regulations. * Develop the coordinator’s skills and prepare him/her for career progression. * Recognize accomplishments and foster a positive working climate. **Profile:** **Education / Experience:** * 5 years’ experience in national food PGC purchasing * Experience in negotiation * Solid knowledge of PGC markets * Business or engineering school degree **Technical and professional skills:** * Strong interest in PGC markets * Analytical / mathematical mindset * Organizational ability and rigor * Autonomy * Resilience * Teamwork, multicultural ease, agility * Fluent English; Spanish and French are assets * Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets * Interpersonal and communication skills * Management capabilities **Additional information:** Contract: Permanent full-time position Location: Madrid \- Spain Start date: As soon as possible Status: Executive Ready to embark on this adventure? *At Carrefour, we are deeply committed to identifying every talent and proudly boast teams representative of society as a whole.
