Social Educator

Description

We are seeking a social educator for an indefinite part-time contract, with 25 weekly working hours. The position involves socioeducational intervention with children, adolescents, and their families in the Puente de Vallecas district of Madrid. Main responsibilities include planning, facilitating, and evaluating educational support activities, as well as serving as the designated contact person for youth groups. The role also entails developing individualized educational plans, designing and facilitating sociocommunity activities, and coordinating work with other professionals and educational centers. Additionally, the candidate will deliver workshops on emotional education, conflict resolution, gender issues, and prevention of violent behavior, and participate in healthy leisure programs such as summer camps. Requirements include a university degree in Social Education or a related field, at least one year of demonstrable experience in socioeducational intervention with adolescents, and knowledge of academic support. Training in gender equality and a valid driver's license (category B1) are considered advantageous. Working hours are in the afternoon, Monday through Friday, with flexibility according to project needs, and occasional weekend work.
