The application period will end on **January 20, 2026 at 12:00 PM**. **APPLICATION SUBMISSION** To participate in the selection process, candidates must attach the following supporting documentation to their candidate profile: * Curriculum Vitae * Employment History Record (or negative employment history record / negative affiliation report) * Academic degrees * Certification of training related to the position to be filled **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION** ------------------------------------ * Design and conceptualize new autonomous aerial, surface, and preferably underwater systems. * Develop prototypes and evolve them until they meet specified needs and requirements. * Integrate sensors and navigation: IMU/INS, DVL, altimeter, pressure sensor, surface GPS, magnetometers, cameras, and sonar. * Develop and tune controllers (PID/LQR/MPC), estimators (Kalman filters), and autonomy and mission strategies. * Collaborate with the robotics software team on ROS2 (C\+\+/Python), drivers, nodes, simulation, and CI/CD. * Select materials and sealing solutions suitable for marine environments (IP68/69K, wet-mate connectors, corrosion protection). * Define and execute test plans: bench, tank, sea; perform data analysis and continuous improvement. * Collaborate with power electronics and BMS (Li\-ion batteries), communications (Ethernet, CAN, RS\-485, UART), and acoustics teams. * Generate technical documentation: schematics, BOMs, drawings, manuals, FMEAs, and certification dossiers. * Support operations during industrialization and assist customers during deployments and diagnostics. * Participate in project planning and coordination to ensure timely and proper execution. * Support the Innovation Leader in executing projects aligned with priority innovation lines. **REQUIRED DEGREES** ---------------------------- * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering * Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automatic Engineering * Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering * Bachelor’s Degree in Robotics Engineering * Bachelor’s Degree in Automation and Robotics Training courses valued during Phase 1 (Merit Competition) related to the position: * Course in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Organization * Robot/Vehicle or Critical Mechatronic Systems Design * Data\-Driven Mechanics * CAD (SolidWorks/Fusion/Inventor) * Programming in C\+\+ and Python * Abaqus CAE * MATLAB/Simulink or Gazebo * FEniCS **EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS** Entry level: Junior: according to collective agreement salary tables, D4 – D3 (€28,494.02 – €33,836.75) Contract type: Permanent If any candidate experiences issues with the platform, they must send an email to **rrhh\_portal@navantia.es**, specifying their issue.
