This position requires solid experience in managing, configuring, and optimizing critical messaging and transaction systems, ensuring enterprise service availability, security, and performance. ### **Key Responsibilities** * Administer and maintain **CICS** (Customer Information Control System) environments on Z/OS, including resource definition, transaction monitoring, and incident resolution. * Manage **IBM MQ** infrastructure, configuring queues, channels, and security to ensure efficient application-to-application communication. * Implement high availability, fault recovery, and business continuity policies. * Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate messaging and transaction solutions into enterprise applications. * Perform performance analysis and apply architectural improvements to CICS/MQ. Document operational procedures, changes, and technical configurations. * **Who You Are** **Education** * Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, or related field. IBM technology certifications (preferred): CICS, MQ, Z/OS, RACF. ️ **Technical Experience** * Prior experience is not required, but will be viewed favorably if present. + **CICS Transaction Server** administration: resource definition, transaction monitoring, performance analysis. + **IBM MQ** management: queue and channel configuration, security setup, and troubleshooting. + Use of tools such as **SDSF, TSO/ISPF, JCL, Omegamon, Netview, System Automation**. Implementation of high availability and disaster recovery solutions. + **Security Knowledge** * Familiarity with access control systems such as **RACF**, ACF2, or Top Secret. Strong understanding of security policies in mission-critical environments. * **Soft Skills** * Analytical ability and capacity to resolve complex problems. * Collaborative work within technical and cross-functional teams. * Effective communication with development, operations, and business units.
