Participation in integrated laboratory quality systems **Number of Positions Available** ---------------------- 1 **Company** ----------- Tragsatec **Project / Reason for Hiring** --------------------------------- Tecnologías y Servicios Agrarios, S.A., S.M.E., M.P., a subsidiary of the TRAGSA GROUP, specialized in engineering, consultancy, and technical assistance services in agricultural, livestock, forestry, and environmental matters, seeks to hire 1 Laboratory Technician to support a major Public Administration project in the Community of Madrid. **Work Location** -------------------- * Community of Madrid **Responsibilities and Tasks** ---------------------- * Receipt and preparation of samples for chemical and microbiological testing conducted at the CNA. * Preparation and control of reagents, solutions, and standards for chemical testing. * Preparation and control of culture media, test plates for microbial strains, standards, and reference materials for microbiological determinations in food. * Preparation and cleaning of chemical and microbiological laboratory equipment. * Preparation of materials for inter-laboratory comparison exercises. * Extraction and purification procedures for various analytes, including contaminants, pesticides, veterinary drug residues, migrants from food-contact materials, microorganisms, and DNA, from different types of agri-food samples. * Operation, maintenance, and verification of equipment used in various analytical stages: precision analytical balances, autoclaves, centrifuges, ovens, UV-Visible and fluorescence spectrophotometers, microplate readers, end-point thermocyclers, PCR equipment, protein and DNA electrophoresis equipment, etc. * Support for instrumental laboratory techniques such as HPLC, GC, GC-MS, and HPLC-MS/MS. * Performance of ELISA techniques. * Performance of PCR and sequencing techniques. * Participation in calibration of thermal, volumetric, pH meters, time-measuring instruments, etc. * Participation in analytical techniques for detecting foodborne pathogens and antimicrobial resistance. * Participation in method development studies for food microbiology and chemical methods in agri-food matrices. * Preparation of inventories, records, control charts, and statistical quality control calculations. Support for documentation management and administrative tasks (inventory maintenance, record keeping, table preparation, report writing, presentations, data entry into specific software, etc.). * Participation and support in activities related to maintaining the laboratories’ integrated quality system in compliance with UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025. **Specific Requirements** -------------------------- Compliance with requirements and/or merits must be substantiated through evaluation tests and/or by attaching the required documentation in the “Annexes” section of the application questionnaire. The Tragsa Group reserves the right to request supporting documents for information declared in the application at any stage of the process, as well as to require additional information from the candidate’s CV whenever necessary to verify the stated requirements and/or merits. ### **Education** #### **Qualifications** * Hold a Higher Vocational Training (FP II) and/or Higher Education Vocational Training Cycle (CFGS) qualification in the professional fields of Health Sciences, Chemistry, Food Industry, Safety and Environment, Agriculture, and/or Maritime-Fisheries (qualification officially recognized in Spain or equivalence certificate issued by the General Secretariat of Universities). ### **Prior Experience** * Minimum 3 months of professional and/or academic experience in food analysis in a laboratory setting. * Minimum 3 months of professional and/or academic experience in food sample preparation. * Minimum 3 months of professional and/or academic experience in preparation and control of reagents, solutions, and standards for chemical testing. * Minimum 3 months of professional and/or academic experience in calibration of thermal, volumetric, pH meters, time-measuring instruments, etc. * Minimum 3 months of professional and/or academic experience in preparation and cleaning of laboratory equipment. ### **Other Mandatory Requirements** * User-level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, primarily) (to be verified during technical assessment). **Merit Criteria (Evaluated)** ------------------------ ### **Education** #### **Additional Training** * Training in areas related to food analysis. * Specific training on laboratory operations and ISO 17025. ### **Prior Experience** * 1 month to 1 year of experience in quality management of an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory (professional and/or academic). * 1 month to 1 year of experience in operation, maintenance, and verification of equipment used across analytical stages: balances, autoclaves, centrifuges, ovens, spectrophotometers, microplate readers, thermocyclers, PCR equipment, protein and DNA electrophoresis equipment (professional and/or academic). * 1 month to 1 year of experience in documentation management and administrative tasks (inventory maintenance, record keeping, table preparation, report writing, presentations, data entry into specific software, etc.) (professional and/or academic). * 1 month to 1 year of experience in preparing inventories, records, control charts, and statistical quality control calculations (professional and/or academic). * 1 month to 1 year of experience in extraction and purification procedures for various analytes: contaminants, pesticides, veterinary drug residues, migrants from food-contact materials, microorganisms, DNA (agri-food samples) (professional and/or academic). * 1 month to 1 year of experience providing support for instrumental laboratory techniques such as HPLC, GC, GC-MS, and HPLC-MS/MS (professional and/or academic). * 1 month to 1 year of experience performing PCR and sequencing techniques (professional and/or academic). * 1 month to 1 year of experience performing ELISA techniques (professional and/or academic). * 1 month to 1 year of experience performing analytical techniques for detection of foodborne pathogens and antimicrobial resistance (professional and/or academic). * 1 month to 1 year of experience in preparation and control of culture media, test plates for microbial strains, standards, and reference materials for microbiological determinations in food (professional and/or academic). ### **Other Meritorious Factors** * Eligibility to formalize a training contract aimed at acquiring professional practice linked to the qualification required for this position (for this, no more than 3 years may have elapsed since completion of the qualification, or 5 years if a disability certificate is provided; nor may a prior training contract of this type associated with the same qualification have been signed for more than 6 months). **Observations** ----------------- * Offer includes: + Fixed-term contract estimated at 6 months, extendable up to a maximum total duration of 9 months, if applicable. + Fixed-term contract estimated at 6 months, extendable for another 6 months, if applicable.
