Use of cloud services for production applications BACK\-END-Oriented Programmer At Europa Press, we are looking for a programmer with at least 2 years of experience in .NET web development, with a strong focus on the backend layer. This position initially targets projects involving API design and development, data modeling, and the use of cloud services to support production web applications. **Requirements:** Minimum 2 years of experience developing with .NET (ASP.NET, Core, Web API or similar). Experience developing server-side business logic, both in REST APIs and backend processes (services, workers, batch or scheduled tasks). Experience designing relational databases and writing efficient SQL queries (normalization, indexes, foreign keys). Knowledge of database engines such as SQL Server and/or MySQL, as well as managed services like Amazon Aurora or Azure SQL. Experience working with cloud services, especially AWS (S3, ECS/Fargate, Aurora/MySQL, Redis) and/or Azure (App Service, queues, blob storage, Azure SQL). Knowledge of backend architectural patterns (layers, DTOs, separation of concerns) and best practices for code maintenance. Ability to work collaboratively in a team, communicate clearly, and cooperate with frontend, product, and systems colleagues. **Desirable:** Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestrators (e.g., Kubernetes, AKS, ECS, or Fargate) for deploying and operating backend services. Experience with testing (unit and integration) and debugging .NET applications in development and production environments. Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools. Knowledge of caching (Redis or other distributed caches) and performance optimization techniques for APIs and SQL queries. Basic knowledge of web application security (credential management, encryption, injection prevention, etc.). Experience with observability tools (centralized logs, metrics, traces) to monitor and diagnose production services. Knowledge of using AI models (LLMs), embeddings, and vector databases to enhance search, recommendation, or data analysis capabilities in backend services. Experience with AI-powered programming tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) to increase productivity in backend development.
