Innovation Technician

Description

The position focuses on executing strategic innovation and product development projects, shaping ideas defined by the area’s coordination team. The main responsibility is to collaborate with all involved departments—from design and initial testing through to industrialization and launch on production lines. It is essential that each phase is thoroughly documented and aligned with business objectives, ensuring a smooth transition between stages. Responsibilities include full lifecycle management of R&D projects, overseeing laboratory and pilot plant trials, evaluating results, and planning industrial scale-up. The role also covers technical documentation, ERP system data management, and communicating formula or process changes to departments such as Regulatory Affairs or Procurement—ensuring accurate information flow across all teams. Daily tasks involve providing technical support during initial manufacturing runs, resolving on-site incidents, and participating in commissioning new facilities. Additionally, the role includes preparing documentation for grant applications and R&D tax deductions, facilitating knowledge transfer across company units to successfully implement innovation initiatives wherever needed. A university degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science and Technology, or Chemistry is required; a master’s degree in development and innovation is considered an asset. Prior experience in managing and executing innovation projects—preferably in the food industry—is mandatory. ERP system knowledge, particularly Business Central, and experience in managing R&D grants and tax deductions are highly valued. A B2 level of English proficiency and willingness to travel occasionally are required.
