Do you want to join a university hospital with high clinical activity and cutting-edge technology? We are looking for an optometrist for the Ophthalmology Department at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Manresa.

We are a reference hospital within the public healthcare system, with a high-impact ophthalmology service that integrates Primary Care and delivers quality patient care using the latest medical technology.
Althaia is also a collaborating university hospital with the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia and other universities in training future healthcare professionals.
As an optometrist in the Ophthalmology Department, you will work closely with a team of 14 ophthalmologists and 4 optometrists to:
* Perform clinical optometry tasks for patients of all ages
* Collaborate in the detection and follow-up of visual impairments and ocular pathologies
* Actively participate in the patient’s comprehensive care process
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service by leveraging available cutting-edge technology
**Requirements:**

* Degree in Optometry
* **Preferred qualifications:**
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Prior experience in clinical optometry
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Adaptability and flexibility when facing new clinical challenges
**What we offer?**
* Temporary contract until December 2026, with potential for extension.
* Part-time position (40% – 648 hours/year)
* Schedule:
Monday: 3–8 p.m.
Friday: Typically 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
One Friday per month: 12-hour shift (8 a.m.–8 p.m.)
In certain months, an additional Friday of 12 hours will be required to meet the contracted working hours.
