At NOVANOTIO, we are seeking a Software Development Engineer to collaborate on advanced secure communications and cryptography projects within next-generation technological initiatives such as the GARBO Project (ground segment for satellite QKD networks). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience in software development using C and C++ (advanced level). Advanced knowledge of network architecture. Experience in encrypted communication systems and cryptographic material management. Ability to perform technical design, requirement specification, implementation, validation, and integration of encryption and key management systems. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW? Required degree: Mathematics, Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics or equivalent. Symmetric and asymmetric cryptography (intermediate level). Post-quantum cryptography (intermediate level). Basic knowledge of environment design and database architecture. Advanced English. Desirable experience: QKD (Quantum Key Distribution) technologies. HSMs and standards such as PKCS#11. Encryption tools and libraries. DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE: Prior experience in secure communication projects based on quantum technologies. Familiarity with cryptographic management solutions and hardware security modules (HSM). Knowledge of integrating critical systems and encrypted communications in distributed environments. RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS: Development and implementation of software for encrypted communication systems. Design and development of the ground segment for satellite QKD networks. Management and implementation of cryptographic material. Analysis, design, and documentation of functional and technical requirements. Implementation and validation of encryption and key management modules. System integration in distributed and collaborative environments. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on highly complex technological projects. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Work mode: Hybrid.
