SOCIAL INTERVENTION TECHNICIAN

Description

We are seeking a Social Intervention Technician to join the Chatillón Barcelona team, carrying out support and social intervention tasks with migrant individuals, applicants for international protection, and other groups in situations of vulnerability. Provide individual and group support to beneficiaries, offering socio-educational guidance and mentoring throughout their intervention process. Design, plan, implement, and monitor comprehensive intervention pathways, adapting them to the specific needs of each person. Organize, facilitate, and evaluate workshops, training activities, and group initiatives aimed at developing personal and social competencies. Accompany beneficiaries in dealings with public administrations, organizations, and other community resources, facilitating their access to rights and services. Supervise the operation of program housing units, providing support in organization, cohabitation, and logistical tasks related to beneficiaries. Intervene in conflict or crisis situations within housing units, applying mediation and conflict resolution strategies. Identify cases of heightened vulnerability and make appropriate referrals to specialized resources when necessary. Manage, process, monitor, and justify economic assistance linked to the program. Prepare technical reports, follow-up documentation, activity summaries, evaluations, and other administrative documents required for proper program management. Record and keep beneficiary information updated in the entity’s computer applications and databases. Coordinate with the technical team, volunteers, and other professionals involved in the intervention to ensure comprehensive support. Actively participate in internal and external meetings, contributing relevant information for program monitoring and improvement. Collaborate in identifying needs, drafting improvement proposals, and developing new interventions or lines of action. Participate in training activities promoted by the entity and collaborate in their implementation when required. Carry out duties in accordance with the principles, values, and intervention model of Marillac – Daughters of Charity, promoting person-centered care, respect, and social inclusion. * Minimum 1 year of experience. At least one year of professional experience in social intervention roles with vulnerable populations. Experience in programs targeting migrants, applicants for international protection, refugees, and/or victims of gender-based violence or human trafficking will be valued. Experience in designing and monitoring individual and group intervention pathways. Experience in facilitating workshops and group activities. Experience in networked work and coordination with social resources, public administrations, and third-sector entities. Experience in documentary management, preparation of technical reports, and use of social intervention databases will be valued. * UNIVERSITY DEGREE * Competencies / Knowledge: A degree in Social Education or Social Work is required, along with experience in social intervention—particularly with migrant or refugee populations—as well as teamwork ability, organizational skills, and commitment to the values of the Daughters of Charity and the Marillac Project.
