This team includes profiles such as ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Big Data Engineers, and Software Engineers, aiming to develop cutting-edge platforms. These platforms will empower our analytical squads to build innovative solutions based on Artificial Intelligence. The *Advanced Analytics* team consists of: the Generative AI squad, focused on initiatives involving generative algorithms and developing an internal LLM-based platform; the Personalization squad, which creates algorithms to deliver personalized experiences and real-time product recommendations on mango.com; the Pricing squad, which optimizes promotions and discounts to improve the company’s margin; and finally, the Product squad, which focuses on enhancing decision-making during the initial stages of collection creation. For this latter squad, we are seeking a Senior Data Scientist, preferably with experience in the *retail\-fashion* sector, to work on projects such as optimizing purchase quantities for new collections, assortment planning (where product allocation to stores is optimized), optimizing final online stock units for sale in the most profitable stores, and a generative AI-based assistant to generate reports and obtain actionable recommendations. Additionally, the team already has production-level projects including *best\-sellers* anticipation, sales and demand forecasting (including stockouts), and automatic garment feature tagging using computer vision and natural language processing techniques. All projects are developed on AWS cloud infrastructure, leveraging a variety of advanced tools and services. These include Amazon S3 for storage, AWS Lambda for serverless computing, and various APIs for service integration. Furthermore, we use Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and scheduling, Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) for container management, and Jenkins for deployment. MongoDB serves as our NoSQL database, and Databricks powers our data lake. **YOUR NEW ROLE** As a Senior Data Scientist specialized in *retail* \- *fashion*, you will join the team responsible for researching, defining, prototyping, developing, and deploying AI algorithm-based solutions into production. On a day-to-day basis… * You will understand the problems/challenges faced by various departments, including planning, procurement, distribution, etc. * You will rapidly develop proof-of-concepts using tools such as Streamlit, assessing the quality and potential of available and/or required data, extracting relevant insights to prepare future projects with associated ROI metrics. * You will draft basic project *statements of work* involving all stakeholders. * You will develop production-ready *Machine Learning*-based projects. * You will collaborate with other Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and members of the *Advanced Analytics* team to ensure proper solution implementation. * You will leverage Big Data technologies to handle large-scale datasets and improve model efficiency. **ABOUT YOU** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum 5 years of experience developing in Python or another object-oriented programming language. * Experience using and deploying Deep Learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch in production environments. * Solid knowledge of Machine Learning and neural networks, including architectures and evaluation methodologies. * Experience prototyping Machine Learning-based software solutions and defining necessary experimentation for such projects.
