Description

Hello! I'm Leyre, the recruiter for this position. I love writing and reading horror stories, but what I enjoy most is sharing a great family meal with the people I love the most. If you're as passionate about 70s and 80s music as I am, we’ll definitely connect! Perhaps this is the tenth job posting you’ve read today—maybe while lounging on the sofa with Netflix playing in the background, or perhaps you’re in the middle of a major life transition… and they all seem identical to you. Let me be clear: at Zurich, we’re not perfect—but we’re pretty awesome! And if you’d like to know why, keep reading. First and foremost, THANK YOU for your interest in our company. We know that searching for new opportunities can be challenging—but don’t worry, everything comes in due time! **Let’s get straight to the point!** I’ll summarize our DNA in two key points: * + We love volunteering—but we prefer to **be activists for change**. How? By focusing on young people at risk of social exclusion or fighting climate change through actions such as reforesting forests in Madrid and Doñana National Park. In 2024, we contributed over 20\.000 hours of activism. + At Zurich, we say it loud and clear: we’re proud of our colors and believe that diverse teams make a real difference. Here, we don’t talk about disability—we talk about ability. **Being authentically yourself is our top priority**, without closets standing between us and without glass ceilings. Fifty percent of our leadership positions are held by women (including the Executive Committee). Did you know we produce our own podcasts on sexual identity? We’re building a company where everyone is welcome. **You might be wondering: Leyre, what will my day-to-day look like wearing the blue shirt? I love that you asked this question (I asked it myself back then):** You’ll join our **IT CoP Agile (Community of Practice)** team. These are some of the tasks where we’ll ask for your support: * + Share knowledge and best practices regarding Agile methodologies, quality assurance, and UI/UX design. + Facilitate collaboration among teams to improve processes and outcomes. + Promote innovation in ways of working—by adopting new tools and agile approaches. + Develop skills in Agile methodologies, quality assurance, and user experience. + Build support networks among specialists across these three areas, fostering mutual learning. + Document and disseminate resources, guidelines, and manuals to help drive agile practice adoption across the organization. **By now, you’re probably wondering: how do I know if I’m a good fit?** Don’t worry—I won’t ask you to save the planet or meet 100% of the requirements. * + Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. + Advanced user-level proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office 365, and productivity tools such as Microsoft Teams. + Ability to learn quickly and adapt to rapidly evolving technological environments. + Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish; English is a plus! + Attention to detail and capacity to solve problems efficiently. + Ability to work collaboratively within teams and across departments. + A generous dose of positivity. We’re a tightly knit team who enjoy helping each other and learning from one another. Aligning with this mindset is definitely a plus. **Are you interested? We’re eager to meet you—but before that, here’s what you need to know…** * + A collaboration agreement with a university and/or business school is required, for a minimum duration of six months, with potential extension. + We’re constantly growing—and if this works out, we’d absolutely love to have you on board! + Part-time schedule (5 h/day, Monday to Friday). + Location: our offices in Barcelona. + Paid internships of €800. + Plus access to training—and much more! Right now, you’re either feeling the excitement of when a pair of pants fits perfectly—or thinking: “This isn’t for me.” (If it’s not for you, that’s totally fine—we’ll surely cross paths again in the future.) Feel free to play matchmaker and share my contact details with anyone you think might be a good fit. If you’ve made it this far—THANK YOU for reading. What did you think? Are we awesome or not? If you felt butterflies in your stomach and believe we’re a match, send up smoke signals—or your CV, if smoke isn’t your thing. And finally—do you want to know what others at Zurich think? I’d tell you we continue ranking among the Top Employers in Spain as our calling card—but I encourage you to check our Glassdoor profile so they can tell you themselves. No tricks, no gimmicks. Hope to meet you very soon. Leyre Romea
