In March 2022 Veritas became part of LetsGetChecked, a global healthcare solutions company with a platform that allows consumers to discover and access personalized health information conveniently, confidentially and accurately. **Lab Technician** -------------------------- We are looking for an experienced laboratory technician who is interested in joining our passionate, dynamic and dedicated team of professionals at Veritas Intercontinental, one of the world's leading genetics companies. The current vacancy will be carried out at our Genetics Laboratory located in Barcelona. To apply for this position, candidates must be highly motivated and competent laboratory technicians, preferably with prior experience in a high\-volume genomics center or similar setting. We expect the selected candidate to perform their role with care, attention to detail, and proven experience managing dynamic, diverse, and demanding workloads. The selected candidate will collaborate in laboratory operations including DNA extraction, quality control, library preparation and sequencing, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and using automation when necessary. ### **Key Responsibilities:** * Sample accessioning * Prepare samples for analysis using various laboratory equipment * Perform standard molecular assays, including DNA extraction, PCR and qPCR * Operate robotic sample preparation instruments * Prepare next\-generation sequencing libraries following standard operating procedures * Responsible, together with team members, for daily laboratory cleaning, including general equipment maintenance and consumables inventory control * Maintenance of laboratory records ### **Experience Requirements:** * Higher Technician Degree in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory * Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role * Experience in a clinical or reference laboratory ### **Desirable:** * Experience using liquid handling platforms * Familiarity with daily use of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) according to ISO 9001 and 15189 standards requirements * Experience with high\-throughput methods, ideally including laboratory automation * Experience working in central genomics\/sequencing facilities within an academic, industrial or similar environment (valued) * Positive attitude towards flexible working, including occasional shift changes, will be valued * Good time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously * Strong oral and written communication skills in English will be valued * Immediate availability ### **What we offer:** * Medical insurance * Dynamic \& international work environment with a multicultural team * Option to have flexible compensation * Possibility of professional growth in the company * Medical and healthcare sector * Full\-time contract **Why LetsGetChecked** At LetsGetChecked, we are revolutionizing healthcare by making it more accessible, convenient, and personalized.
