




### **Description** Our client is a **fintech with national presence**, specialized in end\-to\-end financing solutions and payment automation for financial teams of small and medium enterprises. With a strong technological vocation, they are building a fully automated B2B product suite. In this context, they are looking for a **Senior Data Engineer** to lead their data strategy and infrastructure, and actively contribute to establishing a truly data\-driven culture across the organization. ### **Responsibilities** Your mission will be to take **full ownership** of the data strategy, infrastructure, and operations. You will work closely with the Data Science team, enabling scalable analytical capabilities and machine learning models. Some of your key responsibilities will include: * Define and lead the **long-term data strategy**, aligned with the technology and product roadmap. * Design, build, and maintain a robust and secure **data warehouse** supporting analytics, regulatory requirements, and ML pipelines. * Ensure compliance with data privacy and governance standards such as **GDPR**. * Implement a modern infrastructure based on tools like **DBT, Airflow, and AWS**. * Enable and monitor **machine learning pipelines** in collaboration with the Data Science team. * Democratize data access through self\-service tools such as **Metabase** or Looker. * Foster a data-oriented culture throughout the organization. ### **Requirements** * 8\+ years of experience in **Data Engineering/DataOps**, preferably in product environments or scaling startups. * Proficiency with cloud tools, especially within the **AWS** ecosystem (Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda…). * Solid knowledge of **DBT, Airflow** (or other data orchestration and transformation tools). * Experience building production-grade **ETL/ELT pipelines** and data warehouses. * Advanced understanding of **data governance and privacy**, including experience with **GDPR**. * Experience enabling and supporting machine learning workflows. * Familiarity with data visualization tools such as **Metabase, Looker**, etc. * Strategic mindset, product vision, and excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Fluency in **Spanish and English**. **What they offer?** * Permanent full-time contract. * Hybrid model: 3 days in office (Barcelona), 2 remote. * Flexible benefits: meals, transportation, childcare, etc. * Optional health insurance subsidized by 30%. * Free English or Spanish classes. * Gym membership with partial subsidy. * An international, dynamic environment with flat hierarchies. * Access to library, fruit, coffee, and tea at the office. * Team activities and events with people from all over Spain.
