What makes SGS special—among other things—is our culture. **Job Description** We are seeking an **Environmental Technician** to join the environmental department of a major SGS client in the industrial sector, with the objective of ensuring regulatory compliance and proper environmental management of facilities, as well as providing technical support on sustainability and administrative procedures. We are looking for a candidate with a background in **environmental sciences** or an equivalent degree, and demonstrable experience in roles similar to those detailed below. **Environmental License** * Monitoring of environmental files * Coordination and monitoring of initial and periodic inspections with Environmental Control Entities (ECEs) * Advisory services regarding procedures associated with the environmental license **Waste and Packaging Management** * Advisory services on applicable regulations and best practices * Supervision of waste storage and management * Coordination with authorized waste managers * Preparation of annual declarations (waste and packaging) * Monitoring of hazardous waste minimization plans * Support for corporate packaging prevention and eco-design plans * Documentation management related to waste and packaging **Wastewater** * Processing and monitoring of discharge authorizations * Management of official declarations (DUCA, water consumption forms, etc.) **Atmospheric Pollution** * Registration and legalization of emission sources * Monitoring of regulatory controls **Noise Pollution** * Advisory services to ensure compliance with current legislation We offer you a stable project within an established company, in a highly specialized technical environment, with real opportunities for professional development. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent * Minimum 2 years of experience in equivalent roles within an industrial or consulting environment * Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations (waste, discharges, emissions, etc.) * Experience in document management and administrative procedures * Organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to work cross-functionally with production and maintenance **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience dealing with public administration * Familiarity with environmental management systems (ISO 14001\) * Proactive individual oriented toward continuous improvement **Additional Information** What will you find at SGS? * We are a multinational leader in our sector, operating across virtually all industrial sectors. * SGS employees most highly value our positive working environment. * We provide technical and soft-skills training to support continued professional growth. * We offer flexible compensation and special discounts for SGS employees. * We are a sustainable company actively engaged in social issues.
