The Position*The Data Engineer Business Partner is responsible for driving analytics initiatives within the Diagnostics Finance cross\-functional analytics team. Embracing diversity enables us to create a great place to work and to innovate for patients. **Responsibilities include:** * Be part of our digital/analytics delivery team, working on initiatives to improve our finance processes, with a focus on data engineering. * Managing the transition of Finance data products into final data assets between Snowflake databases while ensuring data integrity. * Facilitating the integration of diverse finance data products and managing data pipelines in Snowflake to streamline data availability and accessibility. * Developing and optimising sophisticated SQL queries for data manipulation, transformation, and reporting tasks. * Managing and maintaining complex data mappings to ensure accuracy and reliability. * Collaborating seamlessly with key stakeholders across the finance function, front\-end developers and solution owners to gather data requirements. * Addressing data\-related issues with advanced troubleshooting techniques. * Leveraging GitLab and other orchestration tools for version control and collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring best practices in code management and CI/CD automation. **Who you are:** **Qualifications/Skills:** * You hold a university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines. * 2\-3 years of experience in data engineering. * Hands\-on experience with Snowflake environments. * Proficiency in ETL/ELT technologies, DataOps and tools such as Talend/dbt/GitLab. * Expertise in SQL and preferably Python for database querying and data transformation. * Knowledge of cloud\-based data solutions and infrastructure. * Understanding of data mapping and data quality management (preferred). * Experience with Git for version control and GitLab for CI/CD automation (not required but advantageous). * Experience with workflow automation tools such as Automate Now or Airflow (preferred). **Mindset:** * You act as an empowered individual comfortable to lead from every seat in a self\-aligned environment * You have previous exposure to Finance and a genuine interest in leveraging technology in a Finance function * You are an entrepreneur everyday \- connecting the dots with a system perspective and an enterprise mindset in order to generate and deliver value for Roche and patients * You are a growth\-minded, curious learner that finds ways to simplify and explore new paths * You believe that skills and capabilities are as important as mindset, behaviors, and culture in a team to perform at their best * You are aware of how your behavior shapes the culture of the team and are committed to your development through self\-reflection and candid feedback * You actively break down silos by forming networks and collaborating across and beyond FDO/BA and broader Finance organization to maximize outcomes * You are outcomes driven with experience in responding and adapting well to change Join us in driving innovation and helping shape the future of healthcare through robust data engineering solutions!
