At ALTHAIA, the University Healthcare Network of Manresa, we are seeking to incorporate a Radiology Specialist Physician with a preferred interest in breast pathology to join our Department of Radiodiagnosis.
Althaia is a university healthcare network integrating specialized care, primary care, socio-healthcare, mental health, and mutual/private activities.
As a university and teaching institution, we participate in the training of future healthcare professionals and are the University Hospital of the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia for the Medicine and Surgery degree, collaborating also with other universities.
Our activity takes place in a highly complex healthcare environment with broad territorial coverage.
**Department of Radiodiagnosis**
Approximately 170,000 examinations per year are performed across various modalities: conventional radiology, CT, MRI, mammography, and ultrasound. Additionally, we collaborate in managing the radiology activity of Berga Hospital. The Radiology Department is accredited as a Teaching Unit for MIR training in Radiodiagnosis.
The department is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology, including:
* Conventional radiology
* Ultrasound
* Digital mammography with tomosynthesis and CESM
* Multi-detector CT scanners
* 1.5 T and 3 T Magnetic Resonance Imaging systems
The department is organized by areas of interest or organ/system, following a flexible model that allows preferential dedication according to each team member’s expertise and professional interests.
We seek a specialist with particular interest in breast pathology who wishes to develop their activity in a technologically advanced environment and in coordination with the various professionals involved in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. Althaia’s Territorial Breast Pathology Unit manages approximately 240 cancer diagnoses annually.
The selected professional will have the opportunity to participate in the diagnostic activity of the breast area, using techniques such as tomosynthesis mammography, ultrasound, and CESM, as well as interventional procedures and participation in the multidisciplinary breast committee and in the rest of the department’s clinical activity according to their area of dedication. There is also the possibility of participating in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching activities.
**Requirements:**

* Radiodiagnosis Specialist qualification, preferably via MIR
* Experience in breast radiology
**Preferred qualifications:**
* Experience in imaging diagnosis of breast pathology
* Experience in diagnostic interventional techniques: BAG-BAB-marking
* Ability to work in teams and collaborate within multidisciplinary environments
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Initiative and orientation toward continuous improvement
**What we offer:**
* Indefinite-term contract. Full-time: 100% – 1,688 hours per year
* Standard working hours Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., plus one afternoon per week
* Possibility of on-call duties for CT via teleradiology
* Opportunity to perform scheduled mammography, CT, MRI, and ultrasound activities, with variable complementary remuneration
* Interpretation of mammograms from the regional population-based breast cancer screening program
* Possibility of teleworking, subject to service organization and needs

* Remuneration according to the SISCAT collective agreement
