Assembly Workshop – R&D&I Manager

Company
Description
Are you motivated to transform a team’s technical activity into actionable insights that enhance quality and customer experience? Do you enjoy analyzing data, identifying patterns, and coordinating technical teams within a dynamic operational environment? At PcComponentes, we are seeking an **R&D&I Manager for the Assembly Workshop**: a key role to drive continuous improvement in the area, measure the quality of assembled products, and ensure traceability across the warranty lifecycle. **What will be your mission?** Lead and manage the Assembly Workshop’s R&D&I area, coordinating the team and ensuring technical and quality processes operate efficiently. You will analyze workshop activities, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and convert data into concrete proposals to improve processes, reduce incidents, and elevate service quality. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Management and other departments, clearly and substantively communicating conclusions, risks, needs, and improvement opportunities. **What will you do on a day-to-day basis?** * **Process observation:** Observe and document workflow streams in the area — assembly, auditing, diagnostics, warranties, and operating system installation — from the perspective of quality and continuous improvement. * **Quality analysis:** Identify failure patterns, inefficiencies, and risk points, and communicate evidence for analysis and subsequent resolution. * **Improvement tracking:** Verify, using metrics, whether implemented actions deliver the expected impact, and report conclusions. * **KPI definition:** Build and maintain the department’s dashboard: defect rate, average diagnostic time, warranty ratio per product family, recurrence rate, and other key indicators. * **Executive reporting:** Prepare periodic performance reports covering trends, deviations, and action proposals whenever indicators fall outside defined targets. * **Warranty analytics management:** Oversee traceability across the warranty lifecycle — diagnosis, root cause identification, process correction — ensuring information is converted into organizational learning for the area. * **Cross-functional coordination:** Act as the R&D&I liaison with Production, Private Label, Logistics, Customer Support, RMA, and Management, translating technical language into business language. * **Team management:** Coordinate the R&D&I team’s schedule and workload distribution — including coordinator, auditors, diagnosticians/testers, and case handlers — aiming for balance and efficiency. * **Customer experience improvement:** Analyze NPS trends for sales and after-sales, identifying improvement areas linked to assembled products, warranties, and integration processes. **What are we looking for?** * **Analytical thinking and data orientation:** Ability to structure information, detect trends, and convert operational data into actionable decisions. * **Process design and improvement:** Judgment to standardize work methods, document processes, and propose sustainable improvements over time. * **Organization and planning:** Skill to manage priorities, coordinate schedules, distribute workloads, and track open actions. * **Cross-functional communication:** Ease in engaging both technical and non-technical areas, conveying conclusions clearly and usefully for each stakeholder. * **Leadership of technical teams:** Ability to coordinate, guide, and build credibility with a specialized team of 10–20 people. * **Results orientation and accountability for the area:** Capacity to assume full responsibility for the R&D&I area’s operations and outcomes — setting objectives, monitoring progress, and taking necessary corrective actions in case of deviations. Focus on measurable improvements in quality, diagnostic and testing times, warranty traceability, incident and recurrence reduction, and adherence to service-level targets set by Department Management. * **Synthesis and executive reporting:** Ability to distill complex information, prioritize key points, and present conclusions grounded in business judgment. * **Ambiguity management:** Comfort working with incidents, incomplete data, and unstructured problems, bringing order and methodology. **Knowledge we will value:** * **PC hardware environment:** Sufficient functional knowledge to interact effectively with the technical team, interpret findings, and understand their quality or process implications. A deep technical engineering profile is not required. * **Continuous improvement:** Familiarity with methodologies such as Lean, PDCA, or equivalents. * **Data analysis and reporting:** Proficiency with tools like Advanced Excel, Power BI, or similar. * **Prior experience:** Experience in production, logistics, industrial quality, warranties, or technical team management will be valued. **What do we offer?** **On-site work** at our offices in Alhama de Murcia. **Starting salary range:** €28,000 – €32,000 gross annual base salary + variable component, depending on experience. **Working hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM**, with flexibility. **Personal development.** We invest in general training (for all employees) and specific training (tailored to you). Our goal is to support your continued growth. **Flexible compensation** (meal vouchers, training, childcare, private health insurance, etc.). **Purchase discounts** at PcComponentes and other retailers (travel, general consumption, lifestyle, etc.). **Personal and emotional wellbeing program.** You’ll have access to confidential online psychological support whenever needed, as well as exercise programs and consultation chats for medical, legal, and veterinary advice.
