Do you have experience in designing and defining technical specifications for substations or electrical installations, working with electromechanical equipment and systems?* ADD YOUR ENERGY TO THE FUTURE! **What will you do?** Responsible for planning and carrying out detailed electromechanical engineering for assigned installations with voltage equal to or greater than 30 kV, in accordance with established general criteria, existing regulations, and instructions from your unit head, to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality commissioning of all project objectives. You will join the engineering team, participating from technical project definition through to facility commissioning. On a day-to-day basis, you will: * Participate in defining the technical scope of projects involving expansions, renovations, and new high-voltage substations * Carry out basic engineering for assigned projects involving expansions, renovations, and new high-voltage substations * Participate in contracting external detailed engineering services * Select electromechanical equipment—circuit breakers, disconnectors, transformers, etc.—and define their layout * Specify, analyze, and technically evaluate supplier offers for equipment and systems within your discipline * Coordinate detailed substation engineering projects in your specialty, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards * Verify technical project documentation—including drawings, equipment and system specifications, quantity take-offs, and material lists—and validate supplier and contractor documentation from a technical standpoint * Ensure appropriate, optimized, and constructible design by supporting construction and installation processes, complying with technical regulations, internal standards, and design criteria to integrate major equipment and systems into both electromechanical and civil engineering aspects of the project * Perform and verify necessary calculations * Coordinate with other disciplines (protection and control, telecommunications, metering, construction) to guarantee correct technical integration * Provide support during the construction phase, resolving engineering-related issues **What are we looking for?** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Industrial Technologies / Industrial Engineering (with specialization in electrical or energy engineering). * Experience in technical definition and design of electrical installations * Participation in substation or electrical grid projects * Experience during construction and commissioning phases * Knowledge of electricity transmission or distribution environments Technical knowledge * Civil and electromechanical design of high-voltage electrical substations, as well as their operation * Electromechanical equipment: circuit breakers, disconnectors, transformers, etc., including outdoor and GIS-isolated equipment, along with installation and assembly criteria * Grounding systems, busbars, ventilation, fire protection, lighting, steel structures, foundations, plinths, prefabricated buildings, etc. * Various calculations: busbars, lighting, steel structures, foundations, plinths, insulation coordination, etc. * Applicable electrical regulations (RAT, IEC, UNE) * Interpretation of electrical schematics and drawings * Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality matters * Advanced English proficiency Skills * Planning and organizational ability * Teamwork in multidisciplinary environments * Technical rigor and attention to detail * Analytical capability and problem-solving skills * Strong communication and interpersonal skills **What we offer** * Join a global, diverse, and innovative company * Participate in high-impact strategic projects for the Group * Collaborative environment with multidisciplinary teams across different geographies * Professional development plans and continuous training * Opportunity to work on technically challenging projects with real impact on the energy transition **Our selection process** *At Iberdrola, diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential in our daily operations.
