Description
Hello!
I'm Leyre, the recruiter for this position. I love writing and reading horror stories, but what I enjoy most is sharing a great family meal with the people I care about most. If you're as fond of 70s and 80s music as I am, we’ll definitely connect!
Perhaps this is the tenth job posting you’ve read today—maybe while lounging on the sofa with Netflix playing in the background, or perhaps you’re in the middle of a major life transition… and they all seem identical to you.
Let me be clear: at Zurich, we’re not perfect—but we’re pretty awesome! And if you’d like to know why, keep reading.
First and foremost, THANK YOU for your interest in our company. We know that searching for new opportunities can be challenging—but don’t worry: everything comes in due time!
**Let’s get straight to the point!** I’ll summarize our DNA in two key points:
* + We love volunteering—but we prefer to be **activists for change**. How? By focusing on young people at risk of social exclusion or fighting climate change through actions such as reforesting forests in Madrid and Doñana National Park. In 2024, we contributed over 20\.000 hours of activism.
+ At Zurich, we say it loud and clear: we’re proud of who we are, and we believe a diverse team makes all the difference. Here, we don’t talk about disability—we talk about ability. **Being your authentic self is our top priority**, with no closets standing between us and no glass ceilings. Women hold 50% of our leadership positions (including the Executive Committee). Did you know we produce our own podcasts about sexual identity? We’re building a company where everyone is welcome.
**You might be wondering: Leyre, what will my day-to-day look like wearing the blue shirt? I love that you’re asking this question (I asked it myself back then):**
Your mission will be to **help transform how we develop software at Zurich by creating Artificial Intelligence agents**, enabling our teams to work more efficiently and dedicate more time to what truly adds value.
You’ll participate in designing, building, and improving specialized agents capable of supporting activities such as solution analysis and conceptualization, task breakdowns involved in those solutions, effort estimation for development, documentation generation, software development, testing, and knowledge management. Additionally, you’ll collaborate on capturing and structuring knowledge from our teams so these agents become increasingly accurate and useful.
**What will you do?**
* + Participate in the design and development of Generative Artificial Intelligence–based agents.
+ Collaborate on automating processes and tasks across the software development lifecycle.
+ Help connect agents with various information sources, tools, and corporate applications.
+ Work with technical and business teams to identify, document, and structure key knowledge.
+ Collaborate on creating knowledge bases, information repositories, and reusable documentation.
+ Participate in proof-of-concept initiatives, pilots, and experiments related to Generative AI and automation.
+ Analyze results, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to the continuous evolution of developed solutions.
+ Learn and apply best practices related to the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence.
**By now, you’re probably wondering: How do I know if I’m a good fit?**
Don’t worry—I won’t ask you to save the planet or meet 100% of the requirements.
* + You’re currently studying Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
+ You have programming knowledge—especially in Python.
+ You’ve worked with—or have familiarity with—REST APIs and version control tools such as Git.
+ You’re curious about Generative Artificial Intelligence and eager to learn how real-world enterprise solutions are built.
+ You enjoy analyzing problems, researching, and finding answers—even when no documented solution exists.
+ You enjoy collaborating with both technical and business profiles.
+ Familiarity with technologies such as LangChain, RAG, Prompt Engineering, Embeddings, MCP, or AWS Bedrock would be valued—but is not mandatory.
+ Above all, you’re eager to learn, experiment, and build solutions with real impact.
**Are you interested? We’re excited to meet you—but before you apply, here’s what you need to know…**
* + A collaboration agreement with your university and/or business school is required—for a minimum duration of six months, with possible extension.
+ We’re growing constantly—and if this works out, we’d absolutely love to have you join us!
+ Part-time schedule (5 hours/day, Monday to Friday).
+ Location: our offices in Barcelona.
+ Paid internship: €800 per month.
+ Plus access to training—and much more!
Right now, you’re either feeling the thrill of slipping into perfectly fitting pants—or thinking: “This isn’t for me.” (If it’s not for you, that’s totally fine—we’ll surely cross paths again in the future.) Feel free to play matchmaker and share my contact details with anyone you think might be a good fit.
If you’ve made it this far—THANK YOU for reading. What did you think? Are we awesome—or not? If you felt butterflies in your stomach and believe we’re a great match, send up smoke signals—or your CV, if smoke isn’t your thing.
And finally—do you want to hear what others at Zurich think? I’d tell you we remain among the top-ranked employers in Spain according to Top Employers España—but I encourage you to check our Glassdoor profile so they can tell you themselves. No tricks, no gimmicks.
I hope to meet you very soon.
