* Develop and implement energy efficiency plans based on the different energy archetypes of our stores and the latest available technologies.
* Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in energy efficiency, analyze their costs and savings, and propose and monitor the installation of prototypes using these technologies.
* Supervise the installation and maintenance of energy-efficient equipment and systems, compare theoretical versus actual savings, and develop implementation proposals across our store portfolio.
* Prepare necessary documentation for proper reporting of proposals and results, providing visibility into actions taken, achieved outcomes, and future goals, including cost analysis and milestone planning.
* Conduct energy audits on existing facilities and monitor improvements from implemented energy efficiency projects.
* Analyze energy efficiency and sustainability benchmarks within the retail sector, establishing current status and improvement targets in both areas.
* Collaborate with architects and engineers to improve energy performance and certifications of our real estate assets, coordinating with our sustainability department and aligning with CSR objectives or certification standards such as BREEAM or LEED.
* Perform calculations for global installation projects, along with their deployment plans, to ensure theoretical results are achieved.
ABOUT YOU:* Higher Industrial Engineering degree
* Extensive knowledge of regulations and calculation methods related to energy efficiency, associated technologies, and requirements of BREEAM or LEED certifications.
* Experience in calculating and designing HVAC, fire protection systems (PCI), and electrical installations.
* Strong synthesis and communication skills when reporting proposals and results.
* Organized and systematic approach ensuring data traceability and ability to extrapolate results to standard store types, enabling high levels of industrialization and standardization across a network of over 1,000 stores.
* Advanced level of English. Other languages are a plus.

**The Institute**
The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. **The role**
We are seeking Operations Bioinformatician; the position combines helpdesk responsibilities (50%) and bioinformatics responsibilities (50%). On the helpdesk side, the selected candidate will support researchers and institutions throughout the process of data submission and access requests, providing guidance, troubleshooting common issues, and contributing to the improvement of user documentation. On the bioinformatics side, the candidate will perform quality control (QC) on NGS datasets, work with bioinformatics tools, and support data processing pipelines to ensure data integrity and compliance with standards. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures, promote and enhance the adoption of FAIR principles among EGA users, and collaborate closely with our partners at EMBL\-EBI in the UK. The role also involves participation in European\-funded projects, with the objective of improving EGA services and features for the international research community.
This hybrid position is ideally suited for a candidate with a background in biology or bioinformatics, who also bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in providing user support within a collaborative and international scientific environment.

The European Genome\-Phenome Archive (EGA, www.ega\-archive.org) is a secure service for the permanent archiving and sharing of sensitive genetic, phenotypic, and clinical data resulting from biomedical research projects. It currently hosts more than 16 petabytes of data, including over 3,700 studies and 8,600 datasets. Jointly managed by the Centre for Genomic Regulation (www.crg.eu)) in Barcelona and the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL\-EBI, www.ebi.ac.uk) in Cambridge, the EGA is an active partner in numerous international and national projects and contributes to establishing global standards in genomics and health research. It plays a central role as a core data resource for ELIXIR (www.elixir\-europe.org), a driver project of the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH,www.ga4gh.org), and a major contributor to precision medicine initiatives.
