It is a technical, creative, and meticulous position, aimed at capturing and modeling information of diverse nature, orchestrating related processes to enable provisioning into storage systems—serving as a prerequisite for subsequent analytical and indicator visualization processes. Some typical day-to-day activities may include: * Extracting functional and non-functional requirements from client-defined needs regarding data ingestion and transformation. * Conducting descriptive analysis of existing information in internal organizational sources, as well as additional external sources (e.g., open data or third-party data). * Cleaning, transforming, modifying, and processing data as required to align with the intended final use (e.g., analytics, visualization, etc.) within the defined architectural toolset. * Designing and organizing the most efficient structure for storing ingested or transformed data. * Automating execution of ingestion and transformation processes to ensure the data lifecycle within the Big Data solution. * Designing and implementing functional and non-functional test plans to validate code quality and minimize risk in production environments. * Producing documentation and transferring knowledge to end users. **And for this, we believe it would be ideal if you had…** **Experience** * Required: +1 year of experience in Data Engineer projects. **Education** * Required: University degree (Bachelor’s, Licentiate, or Senior Engineer—or equivalent) in STEM disciplines: engineering, computer science, or sciences. * Preferred: Postgraduate specialization in Big Data, data processing, or related fields: Master’s or PhD. * Preferred: Non-university training, pursued independently, in Big Data, data processing, or related areas. **Technical Knowledge** Required: * Programming experience in Python. * Experience using relational SQL databases.
