Job Summary: We are seeking a Geriatric Care Assistant to provide comprehensive support to elderly individuals in serviced residential facilities, including assistance with personal hygiene, nutrition, medication management, and domestic and social support. Participation in a community support service **Description:** ---------------- **ABD** requires the incorporation of **a Geriatric Care Assistant** for **serviced housing for elderly individuals** located in Sant Martí and Sant Andreu. These serviced housing units are rental apartment developments managed by the Municipal Institute of Housing and Rehabilitation (IMHAB), designed to provide elderly residents of Barcelona with adapted, safe, comfortable, and community-integrated housing that offers the necessary support. Services include concierge, teleassistance, auxiliary geriatric therapies, cleaning support, and personal assistance. They are intended for individuals aged 65 or older who do not own their own housing and who independently carry out daily activities. **Main responsibilities include:** * Assistance with personal hygiene and self-care * Monitoring and supporting nutrition, including food preparation and cooking * Health monitoring and medication management * Home maintenance and support for domestic organization and mail handling * Support in learning habits related to personal care, home maintenance, and domestic organization * Assistance in planning household purchases * Support in maintaining relationships with family members, neighbors, and others in the living environment We offer: Temporary replacement contract covering vacation periods from 15/06/2026 to 07/09/2026 Part-time schedule; exact working hours depend on the specific replacement required Gross monthly salary commensurate with actual working hours and in accordance with the Gercat Collective Agreement (Reference: full-time salary is €1,229 gross per month) **Requirements:** --------------- Qualification as a Family Care Worker and/or Geriatric Care Assistant Experience working with elderly individuals, observational skills, active listening, and discretion. Personal initiative aimed at improving the individual's situation will be valued. Minimum one year of experience in similar settings.
