We currently have multiple openings for the position of **Second Chef**, located at the hotel in the **Cala Mesquida** area. **What would be your main responsibilities?** * Forecast requirements for each kitchen section. * Propose replenishment of consumed items to the Hotel Chef and suggest improvements for any section. * Place orders and receive goods according to the Catering Manual. * Supervise the quality of received products (which may be received by the catering department). * Ensure that storage areas and refrigerated chambers designated for food preservation are maintained at optimal temperature, order, and cleanliness. **What tasks would you perform daily?** * Guarantee appropriate stock rotation using the FIFO system: “First Input, First Output” \- “First In, First Out”. All food items must be in perfect condition. * Supervise that all stored foods—both ambient and refrigerated—are properly covered and clearly labeled, complying with the implemented HACCP system. * Supervise adherence to the cleaning and disinfection plan across all kitchen areas. * Ensure application of Zafiro Hotels’ “Food Hygiene Manual” throughout all food preparation processes. * Verify completion of all HACCP records. * Supervise staff adherence to scheduled shifts as outlined in the Chef’s roster, notifying the Chef immediately of any absences. * Supervise proper uniform standards and hygiene practices among kitchen staff. * Supervise and coordinate the breakfast buffet. * Ensure dishes prepared match those scheduled in the menu wheel. * Verify that preparation of all dishes complies exactly with recipe descriptions, without substituting any ingredient, to comply with the allergen management plan. * Supervise mise en place for all sections prior to service. * Reinforce the section under heaviest workload. **We offer you** the opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company where people come first.
