




Job Summary: Sener Aerospace and Defense seeks a Senior Software Engineer for electronic equipment, leading projects in actuator control for Space and Defense. Key Highlights: 1. Our passion for precision has positioned us as trusted collaborators of major space agencies, government bodies, and enterprises. **Your Responsibilities:** You will join the actuator control electronics development group for Space and Defense to lead new product development projects in pointing mechanisms and actuation and control systems. **Sener Aerospace and Defense** has been developing aerospace systems for the space, defense, science, and diagnostics markets for over 50 years. The Electronic Equipment and Mechanisms Systems Division, based in Bilbao, Barcelona, and Madrid, has served since 1995 as a reference supplier of electromechanical systems for the world’s leading space agencies (NASA, ESA, JAXA, and Roscosmos). You will join a multidisciplinary team (hardware, software, firmware, and mechanical) developing equipment used to test control electronics and mechanisms for antenna pointing systems, robotic couplings and anchoring systems, telescope focusing and scanning systems, among others. Key responsibilities include: * Learning the types of test equipment we develop and their applications. * Developing new embedded software. * Designing new software features based on system requirements. * Maintaining existing software by adding new functionalities and correcting bugs. * Source code development and management under Git version control. * Communicating and coordinating with team members developing firmware, electronics, or mechanical components. * Deploying and validating application software for test equipment during certification or production campaigns. * Defining software validation procedures. **What We Expect From You:** * Degree or Master’s / Higher Engineering Degree / Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics. * Proven experience of at least 5 years in a similar position. * Proficiency in C or C\+\+ programming. * Advanced English language skills.
