Geriatric Care Assistant

Description

A position is offered for direct care of elderly individuals, many of whom have varying degrees of physical or cognitive dependency. Tasks include personal hygiene, daily hygiene routines, dressing, and comprehensive care. Manual mobilizations are also performed: lifting, bed-to-chair transfers, postural changes, and accompanying residents during ambulation. Technical aids such as hoists, wheelchairs, and walkers are used when necessary, and assistance is provided with feeding dependent residents. Clinical, geriatric, or gerocultural assistant training—or an equivalent qualification—is required. The contract is temporary, with an expected duration of four to five months. Working hours are full-time, on rotating morning or afternoon shifts, and the salary complies with the sector's collective bargaining agreement.
