Responsibilities focus on technical execution across the following areas: * **Liferay Solution Architecture and Design:** + Define and govern the technical architecture of the Liferay DXP 7.4 platform, whether deployed On-Premise, PaaS, or SaaS (Liferay Experience Cloud). + Design the structure of OSGi modules, themes, fragments, and content templates (ADTs) to ensure a maintainable, reusable, and scalable solution. + Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives to validate new technologies and architectures before large-scale implementation. * **Technical Leadership of Development Team:** + Coordinate and mentor the Liferay development team, establishing coding standards, code reviews, and best development practices. + Ensure proper implementation of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes. + Resolve the project's most complex technical challenges, acting as the primary technical reference point for the development team. * **System Development and Integration:** + Actively participate in developing the platform’s most critical components, especially in creating backend services (Service Builder), RESTful APIs, and integration with external systems. + Design and oversee the integration strategy with the M365 suite (SharePoint, Teams, Azure AD), ensuring secure and efficient data flow. + Ensure integrations with other systems (ERPs, CRMs, etc.) follow robust and resilient architectural patterns. * **Evolutionary Maintenance and Portal Optimization:** + Plan and execute maintenance and evolution strategies for existing portals, including migration from earlier Liferay versions to DXP 7.4. + Conduct performance analysis (performance tuning) of the platform, optimizing JVM configuration, caching, database queries, and frontend load times. + Establish a technical governance strategy for managing content, permissions, users, and sites within the platform. **Requirements** * **Education and Certifications:** + Official university degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar. + **Official Liferay DXP 7.4 Certification**: + **(Desirable) Technical certifications in:** - Cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert). - Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster®). * **Detailed Technical Experience:** + **Minimum of 12 years** of software development experience, with a strong focus on Java/JEE technologies. + **Minimum of 3 years** technically leading projects involving implementation, migration, and maintenance of portals using **Liferay DXP 7.4**. + Demonstrable experience in defining high-availability architectures and designing secure solutions for the **public sector**. + In-depth knowledge of the **OSGi framework** and Liferay's modular development model. + Practical experience with **Service Builder**, Liferay's API system, and frontend component development (themes, fragments, portlets based on React/Angular). + Experience integrating Liferay with authentication and authorization systems (SAML, OAuth2, LDAP, Azure AD). * **Other Requirements:** + Habitual residence in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. + Availability for a hybrid work model with client site presence (3-4 days/week). + Excellent technical communication skills, capable of bridging the gap between the development team and business or management stakeholders. **Additional Information*** ️ You will become part of a great team of professionals curious and motivated by technology. * You will work full-time with flexible hours and genuine remote work options. ‍ Company-provided training to support your continued development and career progression within the established career path.
