About the role We are looking for a motivated Application Engineer to join our team and support our customers in the deployment, use, and optimization of Wooptix metrology tools. As an Application Engineer, you will act as the technical interface between our customers and internal teams, including R\\\&D, Field Service, and Product Development. You will ensure successful tool integration and high customer satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle including pre\-sales work for strategic projects (product applications, demonstrations, technical support of evaluations) as well as 2nd line post\-sales and internal support (training, resolving advanced issues, customer meetings). In addition, you will provide application support by working closely with customers to help them maximize the performance and capabilities of our systems. This role requires a combination of hands\-on technical expertise, strong customer engagement, project management skills, and the ability to translate user feedback into product performance improvements. **Key Responsibilities:** * Assist and collaborate with customers (e.g. R\\\&D and engineering teams) and provide technical support to enhance system performance, perform wafer measurements, and data processing for their specific applications. * The Application Engineer may have the opportunity to act as Project Leader, managing internal or external collaborative projects (e.g., joint development programs) from initial definition through to final milestone reporting. Knowledge of Spanish, French, or another language would be a plus. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. * Knowledge of wafer processing, process control, or optical inspection. * Experience in semiconductor metrology, optics, or related fields is a plus. * Familiarity with software tools (Python, LabView, MATLAB, etc.). * Wooptix equipments are installed in a cleanroom environment, requiring the continuous use of protective and lightweight clothing and Personal Protective Equipments (e.g., bunny suit, hood, booties, safety glasses, gloves, earplugs or earmuffs, and safety boots). * Cleanrooms are controlled environments with regulated temperature and humidity and can be extremely noisy. During installation, maintenance, and repair, the Application Engineer may be required to work in awkward or elevated positions to support Field Service Engineer, as well as stoop, bend, or crawl while wearing protective and cleanroom clothing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This requires excellent physical condition and strict adherence to safety procedures.
