We are seeking a professional with experience in Data Governance who is eager to take on a key role in defining, implementing, and consolidating the organization’s data governance framework. The selected candidate will play a cross-functional role, collaborating with business units and technical teams to ensure data is reliable, accessible, consistent, and useful for decision-making. What will be your mission? To define, implement, and ensure adherence to the organization’s data governance framework, safeguarding data quality, integrity, availability, and appropriate usage—ultimately enabling robust, data-informed decision-making. Key responsibilities In this position, you will be responsible for: * Defining and implementing the data governance model, including policies, standards, and procedures. * Monitoring data quality, integrity, and consistency at the corporate level. * Establishing controls and tracking mechanisms for the data lifecycle. * Ensuring regulatory compliance regarding data protection and management. * Acting as a key liaison between business and technology, aligning definitions, requirements, and data usage to ensure organizational-wide consistency. * Promoting best practices in data governance, quality, and management. * Collaborating with BI, Data Science, and Data Engineering teams to ensure alignment with the defined framework. * Defining metrics and KPIs for data quality and governance. * Documenting processes, rules, and workflows related to data management. Location: Remote and/or offices in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, and Madrid Essential requirements: * University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration and Management, or a related field. Desirable requirements: * 2–3 years of experience in similar roles, actively participating in defining or implementing data governance strategies, policies, or frameworks within corporate environments. * Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality. * Experience in data management and analytics, especially in BI or Data Management contexts. * Proficiency with data governance and cataloging tools such as Microsoft Purview or Unity Catalog (Databricks). * Understanding of data architectures such as MDM, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and SQL. * English language proficiency. * Knowledge of data protection regulations.
