




We are looking for an **Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist** for Valmet Technologies Zaragoza and Valmet Technologies SAU at Valmet. The position supports Valmet’s HSE operations in the country and is based in El Burgo de Ebro. **The purpose of this position is:** * To manage and deliver efficient and effective standardized HSE services and functional support to all Valmet operations in the country. * To support and develop effective local HSE management and a strong safety culture to achieve business objectives, including compliance with legal, customer, and Group requirements across all Service Centers. * To drive ownership and leadership of the HSE system and culture by managers and supervisors. * To encourage employee engagement in the local safety culture. **In this role, your key responsibilities will include:** * Acting as the local HSE technical expert providing HSE services and functional support to all Valmet operations in the country. * Coordinating and implementing global/regional HSE processes and developing additional site-specific HSE procedures. * Managing internal and external HSE matters at the site and communicating with stakeholders. * Ensuring the quality of local HSE documentation. * Identifying HSE risks and opportunities and proposing and communicating solutions to stakeholders. * Participating in the planning and implementation of annual local HSE improvement plans. * Coordinating and facilitating local HSE training programs for Valmet employees. * Assisting managers in conducting risk assessments. * Encouraging employees to follow safety protocols and improve their safety mindset. **To succeed in this role, you will need:** * Senior Occupational Risk Prevention Technician qualification. * Minimum 3 years’ experience working in HSE within a similar environment. * Experience leading continuous improvement activities. * Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system standards and certifications. * Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. * Familiarity with local and national health/safety/environmental regulations. * Ability to travel up to 20% to other Valmet facilities and customer sites within the country.
