**Description:** You will be responsible for leading and defining the company’s data governance strategy to drive data-driven decision-making and foster a data-driven culture across our technology platform, ensuring that the "Single Source of Truth" is reliable, well-documented, and accessible—balancing control with data democratization. **Key Details:** * Working hours: 39 (if any specification applies, add: shifts/on-call/flexible…) * Hybrid work model (3 days in office + 2 remote) * Location: Alicante * Reports to: Data Manager **Responsibilities** * **Define data governance framework and strategy:** * + Design the Data Governance Operating Model (roles, domains, responsibilities, approval workflows) + Define the roadmap to improve data maturity, prioritizing business-critical data domains Establish data access and consumption policies—not as bureaucracy, but as enablers + * **Team leadership and resource management** * + Lead, mentor, and grow the Data Governance team, managing both external and internal resources Manage the data governance area budget + * **Data FinOps** Data ROI: Assess the return on investment of data products requested by the business and their value contribution to the company versus construction cost and data cost (storage and processing) * + * **Change Management and Culture (Data Literacy):** * + Evangelize across the organization: Shift Business Owners’ mindset to transform their role into Data Owners + Establish and lead the Data Governance Committee, acting as a bridge between business needs and technological capabilities. Design and lead data literacy training programs to maximize data usage across the company + * **Quality** * + Define data quality standards aligned with business rules and vision + Monitor data quality KPIs and report on their health status, as well as remediation plans. **What we’re looking for?** * Minimum 5 years of experience in roles related to data governance, data quality, and information usage analysis. * Strategic Vision: Ability to build or redefine a function, establishing methodologies (e.g., DAMA, DMBOK) adapted to business agility. * Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with business and technology directors.
