#### **Main Functions and Responsibilities** As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be part of the technical team leading automation projects and commissioning activities. You will be responsible for the design, programming, and maintenance of control systems, ensuring quality, safety, and traceability in technical documentation and interventions. * Program and maintain automated and control systems using appropriate technologies (Omron, Siemens, and Allen Bradley PLCs; ABB and Kawasaki robots), ensuring compliance with regulations, technical specifications, and safety criteria to improve and maintain production, packaging, and distribution processes. * Lead projects for the transformation and improvement of production systems to adapt them to new technological standards (Industry 4.0), coordinating the various phases of analysis, development, and commissioning. * Define and establish maintenance standards for the automation area, and ensure their implementation according to the criteria and processes defined by the Engineering Department’s automation team. * Act as the liaison between the plant and involved departments, integrating maintenance requirements with production, packaging, and distribution flows, and incorporating them into new projects. * Serve as the primary contact between the plant and the Engineering Department regarding maintenance and automation, guaranteeing technical quality, safety, and traceability of documentation and interventions. * Train and provide technical support to maintenance department professionals in automation matters, ensuring proper knowledge transfer. #### **Desired Profile** * Proven experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider or equivalents) and HMI/SCADA integration. * Knowledge of advanced control, industrial networks (Profibus, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, Profinet), and frequency converters. * Ability to autonomously and effectively diagnose and resolve complex problems. * Skill in preparing detailed technical documentation, test plans, and intervention reports with care and precision. * Technical leadership competencies and ability to collaborate across departments (production, maintenance, quality). * Professional ethics, responsibility, proactivity, and high attention to detail in all tasks. * Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and respect for all individuals. #### **Requirements** * Degree in Electronic Engineering, Technical Engineering, Higher Vocational Training in Electronics/Mechatronics, or equivalent qualification. * Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial automation or similar projects. * Proficiency in office software and automation-related design and simulation software. **At Liquats, we promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
