FIRST-CLASS LATHE OPERATOR (M/F)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Lathe Operator to manufacture wooden handles for hand tools using manual lathes, milling machines, and sanding machines, while maintaining cleanliness and following machine maintenance plans. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manufacturing wooden handles for hand tools 2. Operating manual lathes, milling machines, and sanding machines 3. Maintaining the lathe and machine room First-Class Lathe Operator: Manufacturing wooden handles for hand tools (shovels, spades, rakes, picks, etc.) from wooden strips turned on manual lathes. Geographic proximity to the workplace is preferred: Les Planes d’Hostoles, Sant Feliu de Pallerols, Amer, La Cellera de Ter, Anglès, Vall d’en Bas, Vall del Llémena. \-Turning wooden strips on manual lathes to produce short, long, and other types of handles according to production orders based on customer demand, warehouse stock levels, and available wooden strips. \-Using milling machines. \-Using sanding machines. \-Keeping the lathe room clean. \-Following the machine maintenance plan. * 2 years of experience. Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a similar position. Occupational risk prevention associated with the workplace. * COMPULSORY SECONDARY EDUCATION WITH DIPLOMA * Catalan (spoken – advanced, written – advanced) * Spanish (spoken – advanced, written – advanced) * Competencies / Knowledge: \-Valuable training: Intermediate Vocational Training Cycle in Machining and/or Professional Training in Carpentry \-Good manual dexterity and precision in work. \-Technical knowledge of materials (different types of wood, etc.), tools, and carpentry machinery (manual lathes, sanding machines, milling machines). \-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements. \-Ability to work in a team and solve problems. \-Capacity for learning. \-Initiative and responsibility. \-Ability to clean the lathe room. * Vehicle availability required * Driving license: B * Permanent employment contract * Full-time working hours * Additional relevant information: Monday to Friday, 8:00–13:00 and 14:00–17:00.
